This underrated 80s track doesn’t get enough air play. Were you a fan of Level 42 back in the day? Did they dabble in the homosex?
I fucking love this song, brings back an entire era and a perfect song to sing along with.

Although it came out two years earlier, it wasn't a hit in the USA until Summer 1987.
This great song is from the same 1987 era.

Same here, R1.
R4, there's something about you: You suck!

Thanks r5, I’m grateful to be scorned by the pedestrian of taste.

R6, my palate is extensive. There's always room for mindless fun.

It’s the kind of song that is such a lovely surprise that I’m afraid to download it. “Wouldn’t it be Good” is another one.

I listen to it all the time.

I watched the video, then read the wiki page of the lead singer. Huh? He's been married to women and has four kids. In the video, he spends the first half of the video cruising other guys on the train.

I hated it then, I hate it now

Lessons in Love is better.
The video is 80s awful/great cheese, but still.

[quote] Did they dabble in the homosex?
Alan Murphy was briefly a member of Level 42. He died of AlDS in 1989.
He worked regularly with Kate Bush and played on Rocket Man. When Kate filmed the video after his death she featured all the musicians and used a guitar on a chair to represent Murphy. She refers to him in Moments Of Pleasure when she lists her friends who have died - ‘Smurf playing his guitar refrain’.
And Level 42 wrote a song about Murphy.
