He’s been the lead on Broadway.

To each their own, but I don't personally get how anyone has a legitimate interest in his music except as novelty. The 'raining fellas' song is a parody that belongs on Drag Race, and while it's quasi-entertaining to watch once, I'd never even think about adding it to a music library to actually listen to.

But I assume this and all the Drag Race contestants' dumb autotuned factory-made schlock actually sells, and so that means that people, like, add the music to their libraries and listen regularly to it.

On one hand, I know aging people always feel like the music from their formative years is good music and contemporary music is terrible. But I know objectively that's how all old people feel, and so yeah, the music of Toddrick Hall and the other drag factory folk has convinced me I am so far over the hill at 43 that I can't appreciate almost anything new.

It is a generational thing. I listen to Alt. Rock music from the 90s all the time. I am stuck there, every once in awhile, something current really speaks to me, but it's not often. I used to make fun of my Dad, who listened to the music from his youth and just stayed there, but now I get it. Who is or isn't a "legitimate" musician is totally subjective.
