I went to Lowe’s for the first time last Saturday. I liked it: their plant section is better than Home Depot’s.
I do wish there were a third major player in home improvement, however.
Which do you prefer?

Lowe's, supposedly, is more appealing to women. I would agree. There are less raw materials in Lowe's, more things you can buy, take home, and put it where it belongs right away.

If you want to decorate a porch go to Lowe’s, if you want to build a porch go to Home Depot.

Home Depot is gloomy.

I visited a hardware store in Pasadena once. The guy helping me had a seven inch flaccid cock down in his jeans. He should have gone into porn.

Lowe’s is less fascist than Heil Depot.

Lowes because they let me bring my 7 lb. dog in the store. HD told me to take my dog and scram.

Menards is so much better than either Home Depot or Lowes, plus you Save Big Money At Menards!

Menard's and Home Depot are both controlled by ultra-right wing fascists/Trump asshole lickers.

OP, you have to exclude Lesbians from your poll since they own the power tool aisles at Home Depot.

And Lowe's is controlled by right-wing Xtian fundies.
Better to shop your local independent hardware store.

There's Ace Hardware, but they are a fraction of the size of a Home Depot or Lowes, and they're way more expensive in my experience.
Busy Beaver was ok, but all the ones near me closed down years ago.
Harbor Freight is great for tools and they have really good prices.

Lesbian Lowes and Homo Depot. They both have problems, but I think Lowes has the edge because of ownership and somewhat better assistance.
Ace and True Value are both better but are much smaller.
In the day, Hechinger's (DC area) was the best. Now long gone.

We used to have Hechingers and RIckel's in the Philly area.

R7= annoying dog owner who thinks his "family member" needs to accompany him everywhere.

I much prefer Lowes but they are only in the suburbs and I am not going to schlep to the suburbs.

Ace is a co-op, owned by its member independent hardware stores.
I think True Value is similar.
Anawalt ("Anawalt Lumber") in LA is nice. They sells tons of stuff. Cute logo, too.

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
