And don't say "banana," it's not a tree (see you learned something).
I like a stately Elm myself.

That being said - I always loved the pecans in our backyard. Not just for the actual pecans, but they were easy to climb too.

Gingko tree. In summer camp, we took a trip to a botanical garden and the guide gave a tour and we learned about trees. I still remember how pretty and fan-like the gingko leaves are.

If you’ve ever been to Pretoria in the spring or anywhere else they grow, the majesty of the jacaranda trees can not be denied.

So many gorgeous trees...but I like Japanese Maples. The brilliant reds..though some have green leaves, too. Too many great trees to choose....

R17...Ginkgo trees have the most gorgeous, brilliant yellow color in the fall. The female tree (there are male and female trees) have fruit that really stink. It smells like vomit or dog poo. It's called the stinko ginkgo...and many Asians collect the fallen fruit and eat them. The leaves have an interesting fan shape.

OP: Yeah, but try and find one. Unfortunately, most were lost to disease decades ago..
I like Sweetgum(Liquidambur) trees, but not the prickly seedballs they produce. There is a variety named 'Rotundifolia' that is fruitless, has the typical star-shaped leaves, but with rounded points. It still provides a wealth of great Autumn color.
The Monkey Puzzle tree(Auracaria auracana), just because I like the name. Unusual tree with pointed leaves that spiral tightly around the branches. I remember seeing isolated specimens when I liked in England.
🎼"Soft Summer breeze, cottonwood trees....."🎶 Similar to quaking aspens. Long, silky catkins in the Spring, beautiful butter-yellow leaves in Fall.
Sugar Maples. Unbeatable for great colors in the Fall.

Maple!! Especially in the East during Fall.

R35, Once when I was a young kid I saw the name "Monkey Puzzle" for a horse in an Aqueduct race my father was headed to. I told him to bet on it---because I liked the name.
That horse won!

Lemon Trees. I know, not the most grand, but I grew up in California near a lemon orchard so it's part of my DNA at this point. I love the smell of them, I love most recipes cooked with them and they remind me of the Amalfi coast in Italy were lemons are like the local the jewel of the city. Plus the leaves are very nice for color. The tree reminds me of summer.
