"My Two Dads" and "Kate and Allie" were the gay parenting shows of the 80's, as far as I'm concerned.

This show looks absolutely awful which piques my interest. I know Staci Keanan mainly from Step by Step which was more along the "so bad it's good" category and that hottie Chad Allen had a thread here

That “kooky artist’s loft” they lived in. Spotlessly clean with a traffic light, a pink car, random pastel lights neon and just the right amount of mismatched furniture. A tween girl’s idea of how an artist lives.

I never watched this show and have two questions, given the era in which it was made. How tight were Greg’s jeans in this? Did The young Paul Reiser have a decent ass?

Ah, the 80s. Only back then could a sitcom premise where a woman who ho’d around with two guys and didn’t know which one knocked her up pass as fun family entertainment.

It's been on one of those cable channels that show 80's sitcoms and I've watched it on occasion. Florence Stanley who played Judge Margaret W. Wilbur was the funniest on the show.

Even TV Land and Nick at Nite never had that much 80s sitcoms on its roster

VCRs came around and made it possible for people who liked shows enough to watch them more than once to tape them. That took a chunk out of the repeat business. Why would you watch a cut-down version of something when you taped the original broadcast before they cut it for syndication? Also, [italic]The Oprah Winfrey Show[/italic] became big in syndication and TV stations would rather have tried to capitalize on the success of that rather than pay out the nose for second-hand content.

The oversaturation of the late 1980s balanced out a lot of early cancellations in the late 1970s that left stations with a short supply of "new" old shows to rerun.

Step by Step was not Shakespeare but Sasha Mitchell was so hot and so was Patrick Duffy. Suzanne Somers looked her best on this show too. A much more flattering look for her actually than that awful 70s side ponytail and cake full of makeup she had on Three's Company.
