[bold] from the last thread [/bold]
In grass tennis news,
today in Stuttgart
Rodionov (he was an indoor challenger specialist in 2019 but is now on the pro tour) upset de Minaur 3-6 6-3 7-6(4)
Shapovalov won the third set of his match with Lopez that was interrupted on Thursday but then lost to Cilic 5-7 6(3)-7
FAA def. Humbert 7-6(5) 7-6(8) nice to see him with some clutch wins for a change
Querrey def. Stricker 6(4)-7 7-6(4) 6-3
In Nottingham Konta is the clear favorite as she, Davis, S. Zhang and Stojanovic reach the SF

Medvedev will have another shot at reaching #1 if he has a strong grass season. He lost in the Rd32 in 2019 at Wimbledon. I could definitely see him becoming a slamless #1 lol

You know that Nadal is going to withdraw from Wimbledon following "injury". So he won't have to show up on what could be his worse surface nowadays and point finger as to why he really lost in the end. It never fails.

Krejcikova's story is quite moving.
At 18 she was lost and went to seek advice from Jana Novotna, and Novotna said to her "Turn pro. I see something special in you, nven thought people are around you don't. Keep working and one day you'll shine".
5 years later Kejcikova was World No. 1 in doubles with 5 slams in doubles, and now she's playing the final in singles. Yesterday she thanked Novotna who died some years ago.
I want this Roland Garros to be fucking wholesome. Go unknown Czech girl!
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 12, 2021 1:18 PM |
Felix has a nice opportunity to win his first title.
And i remember Krejcikova talking some years ago about how influencial was Novotna for her

Does anyone know how the points for last year's French Open are being treated in the men's rankings? Will they be adjusted after this tournament or will they not roll off until the fall when last year's tournament was played? If they roll off after this tournament, if Tsitsy wins he will overtake Nadal and move to #3 while Nadal moves to #4. If they don't roll off until the fall, I think Tsitsy will move to #4 whether he wins or loses.

According to ATP Live Rankings, if Titsy wins tomorrow he'll demote Rafa down to #4 in the rankings. Must be the first time that both Federina and Rafa have been outside the Top 3 for a very long time?

Pav seems to have the momentum right now and that bullshit medical timeout she took at 5-2 was a really low move.

Krejcikova taking yet another break after losing a set.

Someone said from the last thread that he thought Djokovic was crazy. I rarely watch him play beyond a final here and there. I'll admit he was the better player when it counted yesterday but I do believe he is insane.
That ball bouncing... I remember when he used to do it more than he did yesterday and it was all the media talked about but that 4 set he did it more and more, and that had to be to fuck with Nadal's head. Who needs to do that?
This stare without blinking. He is so razor focused in his stare, his eyes are wide open and not blinking.
That end of the 3rd set when he made a motion to his ear to hear the cheer of his name. What it the incredible fuck? What kind of desperation for applause is that. Does he realize what a douche he is?
I wish he would use some hair product or get it styled. He always looks like a toilet brush end. Anyway, yeah I think he is insane or a robot.
Here he is malfunctioning

Queen's Club draw has some interesting sections
Big Sexy Berrettini is top seed and opens against countryman Travaglia
Murray opens against Paire with the winner probably facing Berrettini in round 2
Evans vs. Popyrin
de Minaur vs. Djere
Opelka vs. Millman
Cilic vs qualifier
Karatsev vs. qualifier
Norrie vs. Ramos-Vinolas
Bublik vs. Chardy
Sinner vs. Brit WC
Sonego vs. qualifier
Tiafoe vs. Bedene
Lopez vs. qualifier
Shapovalov vs. qualifier

Birmingham draw is out too
Mertens is top seed and faces Tomljanovic
Stosur takes a WC and makes her return to the tour.
Osatapenko vs. Davis
Jabeur is #2 seed
this is the weakest Birmingham field in years. I thought more top 20 players would be there following their early exits at RG but it seems more are going to play in Berlin instead

Martina looked unimpressed during the final. She was probably thinking "If I had got to play such shitty also rans instead of America's Slut Chrissy Evert, I could have won 13 Roland Garros titles just like Pedal."
by Anonymous | reply 81 | June 12, 2021 6:52 PM |
Back in 1989 I was at a Women's Tennis Event in D.C. working as a volunteer. I essentially just refilled the water cups for the players on the court.
Martina Navratilova was playing that event, and though I had never been sexually attracted to her before, I have to say that in person, she is mesmerizing. Kind of like Nancy Kulp meets Kiki Dee. Anyway, I was filling up Pam Shriver's water when she asked me if I could run into the locker room and get her Movado watch that was lying on a towel on a bench next to her locker. So I ran in there, feeling a little bit funny in my downtown lips at the opportunity to see "backstage" of the Women's tennis tour. And let me tell you right now, it didn't disappoint, as I walked in there was Chris Evert doing lunges in the buff. The only thing I can say is that it looked like she was hiding a bear cub down there. I was just about to suggest that she take some Nair to her whisker biscuit when out of the shower she came. Yes Martina Navratilova!! Wow, I had never felt so funny down in my grey clam in my life. She had a great rack, maybe a 34 C but the best was her porkchop sandwich. She had trimmed it ever so fine and it was actually in the pattern of a rooster!
Martina could tell I was checking out her goods, and she winked at me and pulled at a little string hanging from her nice piece of hair pie. She then said to me, "Do you want to earn your red wings?". Not knowing exactly what she meant but willing to do anything to be closer to this icon I nodded in agreement.
Well, the next thing you know I found out exactly what she meant, Martina's girl was bleeding like the Serenghetti and my face was slopping it up like Hattie McDaniel at an all you can eat jumbo fried shrimp buffet. I earned my red wings all right, the sides of my mouth to my cheeks were crimson with her rotted girl eggs.
Wow Martina!

RBA vs. Korda
Goffin vs. Moutet

Thank you God for not letting Nadal break my Roger's record. I already went through six whole cakes and eleven family size packets of cookies in this past week, dreading the tantrums, snipping, yelling and nastiness I thought I was going to have to put up with after Sunday evening. Thank you Lord for sparing me for at least a few weeks.
I promise you Lord that I will pray five times a day and give up fattening foods and sugar if you somehow get my Roger a 21st win at Wimbledon and then also magically end the careers of Rafael and Novak immediately so they can't catch or overtake him. Otherwise my life is going to be one of agony, putting up with the worst kind of mental and emotional abuse and overeating.
I beg of you Lord. If you do me this one favor I'll starve myself and lose 60 pounds to become as svelte as Serena Williams. No wait, Roger hates black women and especially Serena. I meant, as svelte as the gorgeous Angela Merkel.
Amen.

I agree 100%. Women’s tennis was my first passion, and I still watch it as much as I can (even though we’re well below the incredible standards set by the WTA in ‘80s, ‘90s, and part of the naughts). I watched the RG girls’ doubles yesterday (very good match), and am really enjoying the women’s doubles finals right now (much as I loathe BMS’s jockeyness).

R96 Well he already did the most difficult part of winning 4 GS, eliminating Nadal at RG. Obviously he can still lose today. But if he wins RG he will also be the heavy favorite at Wimbledon. USO is quite difficult these days of course but him getting 21 this year is definitely possible.

by Anonymous | reply 117 | June 13, 2021 12:16 PM |
Bad comparison R117. Benneteau lost a lot because he was a lousy player. FAA loses because of the institutional racism that plagues tennis and keeps promising young POC players like him down.
by Anonymous | reply 118 | June 13, 2021 12:24 PM |
It's super hot in Paris today. Novaxx is gonna hate it. It could definitely help Titsy if he doesn't mind the heat.

Here's Mary in Paris last week avec Michaël Llodra, Sébastien Grosjean, anorexic Justine Henin et Julien Benneteau
by Anonymous | reply 124 | June 13, 2021 1:23 PM |
Grosjean looks like a middle-aged lesbian. Speaking of, why was Amelie Mauresmo not invited? Homophobes.
by Anonymous | reply 125 | June 13, 2021 1:29 PM |
Couldn’t watch the women’s doubles but very happy for Barbora and EVEN HAPPIER that BMS didn’t win.
Team Tsitsy! Run your Greek booty all over the court and win this!
by Anonymous | reply 126 | June 13, 2021 1:36 PM |
R126 Yeah! Team Tsitsy! His butt looks delicious, a joy to watch
by Anonymous | reply 127 | June 13, 2021 1:43 PM |
Well Joker took a tumble. This so far is not as exciting to watch. Usually, I skip the first two sets and then come into the match to catch the rest. The semi-final was exciting from the first sent but this is kind of zzzz.
by Anonymous | reply 128 | June 13, 2021 1:43 PM |
Tsitsy needs to get in to Djokovic's service games more.
by Anonymous | reply 129 | June 13, 2021 1:43 PM |
Novaxx is religious as well (big cross necklace)? That seems.. in line with his antivax views.
by Anonymous | reply 130 | June 13, 2021 1:44 PM |
Tsitsipas didn't won a single point with Nole's serve (and frankly Nole is not Isner)

Oh that was a nice point.

by Anonymous | reply 134 | June 13, 2021 2:05 PM |
Depressing watching Stef get in his own head after the lost set point. Here's hoping he breaks back and gets this train back on track!
by Anonymous | reply 135 | June 13, 2021 2:07 PM |
Tiebreak! Djokovic played a bad game to lose his serve. Yay!
by Anonymous | reply 136 | June 13, 2021 2:09 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 137 | June 13, 2021 2:16 PM |

You can't waste so many opportunities against a player like Djokovic

by Anonymous | reply 141 | June 13, 2021 2:21 PM |
wow! Nice first set from Tsitsipas! You'd never know it's his first slam final
by Anonymous | reply 142 | June 13, 2021 2:21 PM |
Yes Tsitsipas needed that 1st set so much more than Djokovic.
by Anonymous | reply 143 | June 13, 2021 2:22 PM |
Yayyyy!!!
by Anonymous | reply 144 | June 13, 2021 2:22 PM |
I was getting so pissed off. It looked like Djokovic was going to find a way as he saved set point at 4-5 30-40 then dug out of a 2-5 hole in the tiebreak but Tsitsipas held his nerve and shockingly Djokovic got tight at 6-7
by Anonymous | reply 145 | June 13, 2021 2:22 PM |
Wow, that was some first set. So glad Tsitsy took it. I was afraid he'd wasted too many opportunities. I hope he starts strong in the second and keeps the momentum.
by Anonymous | reply 146 | June 13, 2021 2:23 PM |
bummed about FAA. I thought he had a great chance this week given his clutch wins in earlier rounds
still good to make another final. He's no Benneteau. FAA is still so young he'll eventually win something

tsitsi is so cocky and arrogant , i dont like him, but djoko is too.
by Anonymous | reply 155 | June 13, 2021 2:35 PM |
I just hate that Mouratoglou is part of Tsitsipas' camp. He is the MOST overexposed individual in all of tennis. I was too young for the heyday of Bollettieri so I don't know if he was annoying back then or not. Mouratoglou while he is a great coach just strikes me such as an opportunist and famewhore
by Anonymous | reply 156 | June 13, 2021 2:35 PM |
Stefanos played in Mouratoglou's school for 1 year and I think his younger sister is playing there too.
Mouratoglou supposedly has greek roots.
by Anonymous | reply 157 | June 13, 2021 2:38 PM |
Stefanos is tall. His 2 younger brothers are short! It's almost like that Matteo's situation. Maybe his brothers will grow taller.
by Anonymous | reply 158 | June 13, 2021 2:41 PM |
Novak has a dark moment and Tsitsy is pressing, of course
by Anonymous | reply 159 | June 13, 2021 2:41 PM |
Tsitsi’s forehands are killing Novak so far. Fascinating to watch.

by Anonymous | reply 161 | June 13, 2021 2:48 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 166 | June 13, 2021 2:52 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 167 | June 13, 2021 2:52 PM |
Wow. Didn’t see this coming. Tsitsy!
by Anonymous | reply 168 | June 13, 2021 2:52 PM |
Pierce seems like a nice person and she looks better now that she lost weight but the religious shit is off-putting. She's been running a religious-based tennis academy in Mauritius since retiring

something is wrong with novaxx.
by Anonymous | reply 170 | June 13, 2021 2:55 PM |
Djokovic is definitely affected by his win over Nadal and the effort that took. But Tsitsy is moving beautifully and I love his shot selection. Tsitsy playing well and Djokovic struggling. Go Tsitsy!
by Anonymous | reply 171 | June 13, 2021 2:55 PM |
I saw Pierce on french stream the other day and she looks good, no botox either.
by Anonymous | reply 172 | June 13, 2021 2:55 PM |
Novak gave up last points. Naturally he is leaving for whatever reason
by Anonymous | reply 173 | June 13, 2021 2:56 PM |
I hope Djokovic is tired. I mean damnit he should be. Musetti was 5 sets, Berrettini was 4 with 2 tough sets and of course Nadal is always a marathon
Go Tsitsipas it's been BEYOND time for a new men's slam champ. Hopefully he can keep it together for a third set
by Anonymous | reply 174 | June 13, 2021 2:56 PM |
Tsitsipas has hit some incredible shots in this match and hes moving around the court like a bullet.
by Anonymous | reply 175 | June 13, 2021 2:56 PM |
Djokovic basically just gave up on that last game. I don't think it's likely he can climb out of the hole he's got himself into, not with Tsitsy playing so well.
by Anonymous | reply 176 | June 13, 2021 2:58 PM |
Stefanos Tsitsipas is just ONE set away from his first Grand Slam title!

novaxx looks malnourished. more than he usually does.
by Anonymous | reply 189 | June 13, 2021 3:26 PM |
Just get your serves in and don't spend a lot of energy trying to break Joker in the 3rd.
by Anonymous | reply 190 | June 13, 2021 3:28 PM |
tsitsy is trying to tank it here so he can server first in the 4th but joker isn't letting him.
by Anonymous | reply 191 | June 13, 2021 3:30 PM |
Well Tsitsipas almost blew it against Zverev in the SF so it appears the same could happen here
by Anonymous | reply 192 | June 13, 2021 3:30 PM |
5-2 ugh
by Anonymous | reply 193 | June 13, 2021 3:36 PM |
If Djokovic wins this in 5 it will be so disappointing
by Anonymous | reply 194 | June 13, 2021 3:37 PM |
nah tsitsy in 4. He's got to not run for anything in this last game. Start the 4th serving and be rested
by Anonymous | reply 195 | June 13, 2021 3:42 PM |
of course Joker knowing that he wants to server first in the 4th could just fuck himself up her and not close the set , trying to make Tsisty work
by Anonymous | reply 196 | June 13, 2021 3:44 PM |
hopefully Tsitsipas keeps it together mentally.
by Anonymous | reply 197 | June 13, 2021 3:46 PM |
stefanos asked for a trainer and bathroom break!
by Anonymous | reply 198 | June 13, 2021 3:48 PM |
It will r194, but Djokovic wins a lot of matches like that. It's not uncommon for him to lose a set or two at the beginning of a grand slam final and then win the next three. I suspect he wants this one more than most as he only ("only") has one French Open title.
by Anonymous | reply 199 | June 13, 2021 3:48 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 208 | June 13, 2021 3:59 PM |
Novak is dominating, Tsitsy needs to pull himself together
by Anonymous | reply 209 | June 13, 2021 4:00 PM |
what's wrong with him? I mean physically? cramps?
by Anonymous | reply 210 | June 13, 2021 4:03 PM |
I think it's just some lower back issues. Maybe back had seized but the physio said it wasn't a medical issue. Joker has just raised his level out of the gate. So Tsisty needs to hold here.
by Anonymous | reply 211 | June 13, 2021 4:07 PM |
2 breaks in the 4th set. This set is done. He needs to conserve but get some momentum back. So he can't just tank it.
by Anonymous | reply 212 | June 13, 2021 4:08 PM |
Hello 5th set
by Anonymous | reply 213 | June 13, 2021 4:09 PM |
un-fucking-believable
34 year old Djokovic 3 long matches in a row then goes down 2 sets in the final and is now playing fresh as a daisy while Tsitsipas is wilting
by Anonymous | reply 214 | June 13, 2021 4:09 PM |
Tsitsy's level dropped just as Djokovic's raised. Bad timing for Tsitsy, and now down a double-break. Yeesh. Hopefully there will be another momentum swing in Tsitsy's favor.
by Anonymous | reply 215 | June 13, 2021 4:10 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 223 | June 13, 2021 4:26 PM |
Djokovic will unfortunately take this now.
by Anonymous | reply 224 | June 13, 2021 4:28 PM |
R218 on clay the ball can definitely bounce a lot higher, especially if it hits an area of clumped dirt or on the lines making it harder to return. Nadal's looping forehand really kicks up too in a way that it doesn't on hard or grass
by Anonymous | reply 225 | June 13, 2021 4:30 PM |
novaxx has a boo boo on his finger...looks like a blister.
by Anonymous | reply 226 | June 13, 2021 4:31 PM |
crowd is pulling for the Greek, they are chanting his name.
by Anonymous | reply 227 | June 13, 2021 4:32 PM |
Great he held. He needed that hold.
by Anonymous | reply 228 | June 13, 2021 4:36 PM |
R218 just another point. When hitting second serves, a kick serve is much more effective on clay. Serena has an excellent kick and Stosur when she was briefly a top player had a nasty one too. Venus never developed a great kick but she has a natural slice second serve that is really effective on grass. Same with Lopez who can really slice that serve
by Anonymous | reply 229 | June 13, 2021 4:37 PM |
That felt like an important hold, at least he is still in this.
by Anonymous | reply 230 | June 13, 2021 4:37 PM |
He needs every hold. A break could be the title.
by Anonymous | reply 231 | June 13, 2021 4:37 PM |
wow how the fuck did he get that drop shot and then hit an even better one in the 5th set? wtf

Well this fucking sucks.
by Anonymous | reply 233 | June 13, 2021 4:48 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 236 | June 13, 2021 4:51 PM |
i hate to give up on him but Tsitsy is not playing well enough to win this.
by Anonymous | reply 237 | June 13, 2021 4:51 PM |
I'm afraid that Titsy is toast
by Anonymous | reply 238 | June 13, 2021 4:53 PM |
Tsitsipas was getting a lot of free points on his serve in the 2nd set. From the 3rd on that hasn't happened
by Anonymous | reply 239 | June 13, 2021 4:54 PM |
What is joker arguing with the chair about. All I heard is 4 hours daylight. Did they want to put the roof up?
by Anonymous | reply 240 | June 13, 2021 4:57 PM |
R218 Clay is a very slow surface. It's perfect for tricks like dropshots or moonballs to move the game around a lot an to work points. The ball already bounces naturally higher compared to hard or, worse, grass, where the ball really stays low.
by Anonymous | reply 241 | June 13, 2021 4:57 PM |
He's annoyed that the lights were turned on when it's still daylight
by Anonymous | reply 242 | June 13, 2021 4:58 PM |
If he loses it's his serve that will have undone him in this match. It just hasn't been there since the end of the second set.

Agreed, R147, it's just a matter of time before FAA wins a tournament. How many other players have reached eight 250 or higher finals before they were 21? And it'd be a higher number if not for COVID. For some reason there are a couple of Felix bashers on this site, which I don't get. He's respectful, intelligent, articulate, funny, humble, and behaves well on court, which is more than can be said for many of the players in the ATP.

most disappointing outcome in a men's final in ages
I need to know what changed for Djokovic following his bathroom break after dumping the second set 2-6
Even at deuce in the last game, Tsitsipas had him off balance TWICE yet Djokovic still could control the ball. Just incredible. It's a shame he's so unlikable because his tennis is amazing
by Anonymous | reply 266 | June 13, 2021 5:26 PM |
He won fair and square...Stefanos is now crying like a baby in his towel. that is the difference between those 2

At this point it was not physical, but mental. Novaxxx is able to clear his mind and find the inner focus in a way that is almost scary. Plus, the way he builds up points tactically is just wonderful. Tsitsi still needs to grow mentally as he didn't lose on endurance.

Djokovic overcomes double whammy of Nadal RG curse and DL coverboy curse
at this rate he could fucking win the calendar slam which would really kill men's tennis
I'm hoping someone, anyone else in the men's field outside Djokovic and Nadal wins Wimbledon. Hopefully Djokovic has to go through a gauntlet of monster servers who are in the zone.

Tsitsipas was good for two sets, but in the end he was never close to win.
Nadal and Nole are beatable but the new generation is mentally and physically weak (even if they are talented).
In this kind of match the younger players should have a big advantage and Stefanos even started serving in the final set

r266, he watched Tsisty getting a butt massage. He knew he was going to start the 3rd set a little slow and pounced. After losing the first in a tie breaker, Joker was a bit off and got to a slow start, and just TANKED the set. Not saying he lost on purpose but he didn't extended extra energy trying to come back from a double break. They saw his opportunity at the start of the 3rd and took it.

by Anonymous | reply 305 | June 13, 2021 5:41 PM |
Thiem is not nextgen, he flopped big time in the final (after a great tournament) and he didn't do a thing right since them,
If Nole wasn't such drama queen, probably he would have won the US Open too.
And i know he is amazing and the big 3 blah blah blah, but this is boring as hell, knowing that all the big titles are going to have Nole or Rafa as winners.
And this kind of dominance last more than 15 years

Hopefully Tsitsy will learn from this. He's got the ability. His loss today was due to mental lapses. He did the same thing against Zverev in the semis. He needs to figure that out. I hope he maybe wins a Slam this year. I still see an upside for him, but this was a disappointing loss. Pete Sampras's loss to Stefan Edberg turned his career around. He knew he should have won that match and it motivated him. The next year he won Wimbledon and the USO and became #1. I know Sampras already had a Slam at the 1990 USO, but it took him nearly three years to get his next one. The point is losses can be learning experiences.
Although I'm disappointed, thank God Nadal didn't win another one. That would have been beyond dreadful.

Djokovic was left for dead after last year's FO final. No one thought he would beat Nadal this year, yet he did, decisively. He went on to play a five-set final against an incredibly gifted player who is twelve years younger than he is, and won. That's astonishing. And it's almost nine hours of tennis over a 48 hour period. He finally did look tired at the end; it's probably going to take him a while to recover from that.
by Anonymous | reply 355 | June 13, 2021 7:55 PM |
Djokovic is now 19-10 in slam finals, Here is his record against the only players he's lost to
vs. Federer 4-1
vs. Nadal 4-5
vs. Murray 5-2
vs. Wawrinka 0-2
So now in the men's game we have a bunch of slamless finalists:
Anderson 0-2
Medvedev 0-2
Tsonga 0-1
Nishikori 0-1
Raonic 0-1
Zverev 0-1
Tsitsipas 0-1
In the next year or so I wouldn't be surprised if Rublev, Shapovalov and Sinner got to a final as well. Given their weapons it seems like a matter of time

Novaxx will pass Fed and Nadal in Grand Slam wins. Most likely this year.
What will the cheerleader cunts over on ESPN say when their precious Fed is replaced? Will they now call Novaxx the GOAT?
They started this with the person who has the most slams is the GOAT. I guess they never thought that anyone would surpass Roger.
by Anonymous | reply 360 | June 13, 2021 8:37 PM |
What will the cheerleader cunts over on ESPN say when their precious Fed is replaced? Will they now call Novaxx the GOAT?
Sampy will be chilling in his California home laughing when the cheerleader cunts bend over backwards to still anoint Fed the 🐐 and come up with some bullshit "Slams aren't everything" explanation.
by Anonymous | reply 362 | June 13, 2021 8:54 PM |
Well, the debate is very different on women's and men's and that's for a reason.
Graf, Serena, Navratilova, Evert and Court (with the exception of Martina and Cris) doesn't belong to the same era.
If Martina and Cris didn't miss so many Australian Open and Roland Garros they will probably be the ones with more GS.
And GS is not a good meassure for Court because half of her Australian open were more Australian championships than anything else.
So there the GS are very important but not the meassure for all.
But Federer, Nadal and Djokovic belong to the same era, so the GS debate there is quite conclusive because they competed for them.
If Nole get the 20, there won't be debate, he has more masters 1000, he has nitto finals (something that Nadal lacks) and he has more weeks at number one (and of course a positive h2h against both his rivals).
It's difficult to say that Federer is the best when he has a losing h2h against both his rivals
by Anonymous | reply 363 | June 13, 2021 8:56 PM |

R363.. i think the fed losing head to head with rafa and novak is usually explained away by 1) most of nadal's wins have been on clay and they have played on that surface more than any other? and 2) novak leads roger only because the started playing alot AFTER roger had reached his prime and past his prime...
i'm NOT saying I agree with this, but i think that is the argument?....

tomorrow's ranking is the cut-off for the Olympics
The Oceania continental places will be vacant and re-allocated through the general ranking because the New Zealand players didn't have the top 300 requirement.
Safwat (Africa), Istomin (Asia), Menezes (America 1) and Barrios (America 2) are qualified through continental places on Men side.
Sherif (Africa), Wang (Asia), Podoroska (America 1) and Cepede Royg (America 2) are qualified through continental places on Women side.
Wang and Podoroska would have been qualified also through the direct ranking but by rules they will use the continental place card. Caroline Dolehide was the second American qualifier in the continental competition (PanAm Games) but as USA have 4 spots through direct ranking, the continental place goes to Paraguay.

Rafa is more my physical type but I imagine him with 326 different rules for sex and they all end with him finishing into a lace handkerchief which he then burns or something equally disturbing.
I've always thought of Roger as kind of the perfect man because anyone who likes men could find something hot about Roger. For me he's a butterface but he has great legs and body.

federer has the most "manly" body of the 3...
nadal for all of his grinding and working hard like he does body, surprisingly does NOT have a 6 pack, carries around a small layer of stomach fat even and his arms while in motion look ripped and muscular, when NOT in motion, are surprisingly quite normal and average....great legs and butt though....
novak, simply is very wiry and way too lean everywhere...at least he can grown hair on his chest and stomach unlike rafa...
on a sidenote, i wonder of these 3 what their faces look in orgasm, their orgasm faces? anyone care to guess what their facial expressions and vocal reactions when they are cumming look and sound like?

R386 Nadal eats a typical Spanish diet rather than one geared towards fitness and nutrition. From shrimp to Spanish ham to chocolate...
Djokovic used to have a nice body the first few years on tour then he went with an extreme diet around 2012 and has been emaciated ever since
I don't know what Federer eats but I'd be interested to find out. He has a very average upper body
by Anonymous | reply 389 | June 14, 2021 12:47 AM |
Nadal doesn't eat tomatoes and he doesn't like cheese either.
Novaxx is gluten-free and dairy-free
Not sure about Federer. He likes pasta.

Novak actually looks better and a little heavier than he did a few years back when he was REALLY emaciated. He has great legs.

yikes Venus is now down to #103 in the rankings. I hate seeing her fall like this and unable to win matches. If she can't do something on the grass or summer hardcourts I hope she retires. She's too much of a legend to be losing to journeywomen every tournament
2) novak leads roger only because the started playing alot AFTER roger had reached his prime and past his prime...
I've seen this argument from Fedheads before. It is easy then to ask them if that only confirms that Fed in his prime had only a bunch of second and third tier players to compete against. Safin, Hewitt, Ferrero, a 36-year old Agassi, overrated one Slam wonder Roddick and Kuerten for a bit. As soon as Djoko and Nadal reached their prime Fed was already past his prime, according to his supporters.
I don't buy that argument. IMO a more convincing one in Fed's favor is the slowing down of the playing surface at the grass and hard court Slams but Roland Garros keeping the same slow clay. If Wimby grass had been as fast as it was in the 80s or 90s, Nadal would have never won it and even Djok would have struggled to get to three titles, let alone five.

by Anonymous | reply 412 | June 14, 2021 1:15 PM |
Completely agree, R409. She looks really good. But the bar is higher for athletes. There’s no way Novak could have won the title with the extra weight she’s carrying.
With all the conflicts in tennis (including too many relationships between those who cover the sport and those who coach, play and manage), no one during the RG coverage dared go near the topics of Serena’s conditioning or how her coaching relationship is working for her. Were she Nick Kyrgios, they’d have gone to town.
Serena looks great - for any woman not trying to become a GS champion. She needs to dump Patrick. He's done nothing for her since becoming her coach.
She's almost 40. For a top athlete who has been playing on the pro tour for over 20 years, she looks terrific. I disagree about getting a new coach though. She has 23 Slam titles to her name, is going to turn 40 later this year, and might retire in the next few years.
At this stage of her career what is any coach going to tell her that she hasn't heard or doesn't know already. Whoretaglou is a grifter and hanger-on, yeah, but it's not like any other coach is going to offer her that much more advice. She's also too old to retool her game entirely. And I don't think she even needs to. She still plays well enough that she needs a good draw to win more titles. No one on the tour is able to consistently play better than everyone else.

r323, Roger is not a cunt. He pulled out of Roland Garros because he is an older man and it was too much on his body. He wants to win one last slam and it's not going to be the French. Wimby is his best chance and why break his body the fuck down when he knows he has no chance
by Anonymous | reply 415 | June 14, 2021 1:42 PM |
Serena doesn't need to retool her game. But in no way is she fit enough to go the seven rounds it takes to win a GS. Someone on her team needs to get real with her because I'd love to see her get #24.
by Anonymous | reply 416 | June 14, 2021 1:54 PM |
^History shows that he spent he hates Novak more than all of DL put together (except that 1 psycho).
He spent his whole career trying to box out Novak. Mostly by winning but also with a lot of help from all sides, especially GS scheduling and the slobbering media who never criticize him for more than 2 seconds. When Djokovic fucks up every story lists his whole history. Roger has acted like a little bitch on the court and the commentators don't even mention it. Any long time tennis fan has seen it.
He never recovered from Novak blasting winners at him the USOPEN.
His pull out was designed to help Novak lose. The fact that he was practicing the next day was on purpose to get under Novak's skin. IMO- THAT was the translation of Novak's scream. "FUCK YOU ROGER".
Djokovic OWNS him.
They have contested 50 matches between 2006 and 2020, with Djokovic leading the head-to-head 27–23. Djokovic leads 13–6 in finals and 11–6 in Grand Slam matches. Novak owns him.

R400, I don't think that Tsitsipas learned about his grandmother's death until after the match. His Instagram post doesn't claim otherwise. He was just trying to make the usual "other things are more important" claim athletes always make when they lose. They don't say that when they win.
by Anonymous | reply 420 | June 14, 2021 2:20 PM |
R363, there's something else that's in Novak's favor: He has won two career Grand Slams. This is something that neither Federer or Nadal have been able to accomplish.

Bronx at R422, any truth to the rumor that your husband only fucks you in the ass and that he takes out his career frustrations on your wrecked hole in bed? We heard that he yells out "Fuck you Roger" and "Take that RodDICK, Rafael" when he's about to shoot his load. The spokesperson for Pampers adult diapers, Pampers Shriver, tweeted that you are now their customer due to the damage inflicted.
by Anonymous | reply 423 | June 14, 2021 2:30 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 424 | June 14, 2021 2:34 PM |
Sweetie at R424, my husband is all man and he still had a full head of hair unlike the bald rodent you got hitched to. Jim is very generous and gracious, so no need to insinuate anything about his mentoring. In fact he did not even mind when I told him I was responding to the wife of a fluke one Slam wonder who looks like the lookalike pet rat of that creepy pedo pimp Seann William Scott.
Diva Roger, as you know, won't let Mirka talk to any wife whose husband has won fewer than 14 Slams.

I think it's likely that Djokovic will have the all-time Slam record for the men. I see him still winning Slams in the next couple years, although the gap is closing. Tsitsipas's level dropped in those last three sets, particularly his serving. He's there. He just has to get over the line in best-of-five Slam match finals. I think he's learned and has said as much. I'd love to see him do well at Wimbledon. He's up to #4, so will avoid Nadal and Djokovic before the semis.
Roger and Rafa can still win Slams, particularly Nadal at RG, but I think they need a bit of help with their draws. Roger's best chance is of course Wimbledon. If a draw fell apart like the 2017 and 2019 US Opens did for Nadal, Roger could take another one as could Nadal. Roger's time is the most limited of the three. Once the knees start going, it's close to over.
I think we'll hopefully start seeing tougher and tougher draws for the Big 3. There is a critical mass of good players who can beat any of the Big 3--Tsitsipas, Zverev, Medvedev, Rublev, Berrentini, and the younger generation from them--e.g., Sinner and Musetti--will be challenging as well. Also, like this RG, we're going to start seeing the Big 3 in each other's half of the draw more and more and they will take each other out at earlier stages. It's too bad Thiem has gone on a mental walkabout because he was another one that would have added to the draw difficulty for the Big 3. Maybe he'll come back, but anyone who reacts to winning a Slam by saying how hard it is and it's too much pressure doesn't really have the right mentality to be a consistent winner at that level.

r431, I was the first one to congratulate Roger on the power move. He earned the right to do it.
"After discussions with my team". After discussions with my team WHAT? Giving NO reason. So Roger can't even OWN the decision to pull out he has to blame his team which is a bitch move.
I filled in the blanks because no one else would. He gets to make a one sentence statement and that's it. Thou shall not question Roger.

I'll make a prediction here and now. Every time Djokovic goes to the bathroom he will be booed and Kyrgios/other morons will tweet about it.
Which will only make him stronger.
I just watched watch that 5th set USO 2011 SF. 25k out of 30k people cheering against him coming back 2 sets down, 2MP (for the second year in a row) against Fed and then came out and beat Nadal in the final, again with the crowd against him.
That "desperate need to be liked" seems to really work for him.
by Anonymous | reply 437 | June 14, 2021 4:27 PM |
Fed gets a free pass from the tennis suits and the media regardless of what diva stunt he pulls. They might have let Nadal get away with this too, but players like Serena or Djokovic would have been ripped to shreds. Cunts like McEnroe and the evil Chrissy Evert would have repeatedly questioned the legitimacy of Serena's health concerns.
