He has Angelina Jolie’s best friend in high school

A friend who had recently retired was diagnosed initially with stage 2 kidney cancer. He had on and off blood in his urine but his doctor kept telling him it was kidney stones. When they went in for surgery the saw it was stage 4 kidney cancer and removed it. Strangely they did not do any chemo or radiation therapy. About a year later they put him through immunotherapy but shortly discovered the cancer had spread to his lungs. He died 2 months later. I never understood why the doctors waited a year before deciding to conduct some post surgical approach to kill any remaining cancer cells.
