Her career is finished. First 1:50 is just mumbling and I can't hear a fucking word. Solar power is a ridiculous idea for a song. I loved every song on Pure Heroine. Only liked one song off Melodrama, Green Light. Girl is done.

I liked it until she started warbling about solar power repeatedly. The video is pleasant.

I was obsessed with Pure Heroine when it came out. So many songs I loved.

Melodrama was fine.

The song is dreck. I don't know anything about her except I've heard her name before. If this is her return to the music scene, it blows.

Melodrama was fucking horrible and sold nothing. I blame the horrible producer Antonoff. Joel Little had a masterpiece with Pure Heroine and he also co-produced Green Light.

Billie stole her singing and is doing much better.

Billie’s singing style is similar but the songs are her own. They don’t sound a thing like Lorde’s.

My Fav Lorde song is “Ribs”. It’s so good. I used to play this one all the time.

Ribs is also my fave off the album. I don't know what the lyrics are but I always sing the one part as: my muffin died like you say o-o-oh. It drives you crazy getting old. Yes. Old muffs are pretty crazy and gross.

Love her. Greatest writing talent of her generation. This isn’t my favorite song of hers, but I have faith it will fit in perfectly with the album she’s been crafting for years now. Melodrama is one of the best albums of the century thus far. There is a reason David Bowie said she is the future of music.

Joel Little made that atrocious song ME! with Taylor Swift, so you can't chock up her first album to his talent. I think Antonoff brings her down, though.

Joel Little also came up with that song with Taylor "you need to calm down" where she compares gay-bashing to tweeting mean things about her, so Lorde was smart to drop him.

@r39 so who do you think is a better writer of her generation? What qualms do you have with melodrama? I understand most of you are ancient, but just like your grandparents and parents before, music doesn’t stop being good just because you’re old and don’t “get” it. You sound like a member of the “greatest generation” complaining about Janis, the Beatles and the stones. She is incredible at song construction, melody and lyricism. If you disagree maybe share your reasoning, if not, then nobody cares what your unsubstantiated opinion is.
