What do you call it when its short (almost a fade I guess) on the sides and longer on top? Like a standard haircut or maybe WWII type? I never know exactly what to tell the barber for my son.

Back in the day, we called it a pixie.

The best barber I ever had told me that if ever went to anyone else, to tell them I wanted a boy's haircut. I would ask him for and get something kind of like OP's pic but longer on the sides but nothing over the years. He told me I knew exactly what looked best on me. But he's retired.
