First, that picture was about 20 years old.

Second, this is not a necessary contest.

[quote] "Second, this is not a necessary contest."

Seriously, R1.

That blonde Australian megaslut actor who had a few minor roles, forget his name, he was a dancer too, he was pretty hot. Antony someone?

by Anonymousreply 3June 10, 2021 10:17 AM

many friends, generosity and kind, loving heart......so he was a slutty bottom, no?

by Anonymousreply 4June 10, 2021 10:18 AM

I thought that was his real obituary until the reference to his time as a Colt model.

by Anonymousreply 5June 10, 2021 10:20 AM

Oh yes I well remember that gorgeous Erron aka Jeremy Brent of Colt fame. One of those men who got sexier as he got older. The poolside scene he did with Rod Mitchell is scorching hot.

Oh gurl.

It’s not the kind, loving heart that goes up inside the other man.

Here he was in better days (NSFW)

Ima say 'No.'

I suppose it's a personal preference, but that title goes to my ex-bf who died of AIDS in the late 90s. He was sexy and gorgeous and I still miss him.

by Anonymousreply 12June 10, 2021 10:36 AM

"Rod Mitchell" lived three blocks up the street from me. We took the same LIRR train to Fire Island. I saw him all the time around the neighborhood. I worshipped him and never said a word to him.

by Anonymousreply 13June 10, 2021 10:38 AM

Antony Hamilton? Insatiable bottom

by Anonymousreply 14June 10, 2021 10:41 AM

You say "insatiable bottom" as if that's a bad thing.

Pornstar Scott O'Hara whom AIDS deaded, looked fetching on film, despite being the worst actor ever. However in life he was breathtaking! I remember spotting him in a market from 100 yards away, and thinking "who the hell is THAT?!" He shone like a star in daylight.

Naked, he looked phenomenal in every direction: not just the most spectacular pendulous cock, but the most incredible melon arse you've ever ever seen. Sadly, it was obvious when speaking to him that, despite being immensely sunny, he had a lot of suppressed internalised anger.

How did he contract AIDS? Was he a hemophiliac?

by Anonymousreply 20June 10, 2021 11:20 AM

Scott O'Hara was only attractive if you liked blond twinks. Despite the big dick, I found him annoying. I did have quite a thing for Sergeant Swann, though.

by Anonymousreply 21June 10, 2021 11:29 AM

The doctors could never tell, R20.

He was a devout Christian. Medical experts were stumped. "Immaculate contraction" was noted on the death certificate.

[quote]Scott O'Hara was only attractive if you liked blond twinks.

He never made a decent film, awkward on camera, and never photographed well.

You had to see him in life: the combination of the incredible body, star quality, and amazing self confidence (a big dick and a trust fund can do that) made you understand why people flipped. Remember another time talking to him at the Sydney Gay Mardi Gras: he was wearing boots, a silver mesh one piece swimsuit, and two silver pear-shaped drops hanging from his nipples. Despite being two years from death, he looked an MGM vision. That series of naked photos he had taken when he was really wasted with HIV, and had the big arm tattoo saying 'HIV' when people were still cowering in the shadows, were really bold and brazen. As I said: amazing self confidence. If only his childhood hadn't fucked him up so. There was a really good essay about him on Usenet (remember that?!) by someone who had been a lover.

If DL is going to do a Hot Calendar of AIDS Death, well I never.........!

yes Rose, he was

by Anonymousreply 25June 10, 2021 11:50 AM

Pics or it didn't happen, R12.

This quote about Scott O'hara and his friend Keith Griffith, who founded the loved but long vanished "Cruising For Sex" website is appropriate: "Hara died in 1998; Griffith died in 2012. Both men approached sex as if it were their last meal."..."Griffith would defend his stance on public sex by invoking the words of O’Hara, who once told him, “If you want safety, don’t have sex because sex is risky.” Safety was not the point; fully living was the point. O’Hara believed that life, gay life, should be more than mere biological survival."

O'Hara blew 3/4 of a million dollars (when a million was something) from his trust fund on his publishing house. I still have a few copies of Steam, his lovely magazine on saunas and sex.

So beautiful

by Anonymousreply 28June 10, 2021 12:16 PM

Lesbians think they should always be first- LGBT. Dykes On Bikes always first at Pride Parades. Glad this organization knows how to alphabetize GLBT.

by Anonymousreply 29June 10, 2021 12:23 PM

O'Hara ended up writing for Diseased Pariah News, that early mag for people with HIV. Always loved the title. The editors were always dying. It reminded me of another underground mag, one issue of which came with a centrefold insert of a plastic plasma bag containing infected blood. I should have grabbed some copies: they would be real collectors items now. T'was a gothic crazy time!

by Anonymousreply 30June 10, 2021 12:35 PM

R27- I remember Cruising For Sex. It listed places to have sex in public- eg The men's room at Sears

by Anonymousreply 31June 10, 2021 12:46 PM

Where are the AIDS quilts today?

by Anonymousreply 32June 10, 2021 12:49 PM

Was he an airline hostess ?

by Anonymousreply 33June 10, 2021 12:53 PM

R33- No, he was a stewardess
