How are the mask lovers going to cope seeing people with no masks in public indoors. Are you going to have a panic attack, protest or just be hermits for the rest of your lives? LOL!!
Countdown to June 15 in CA, End of mask mandates

OP, people in NYC are still wearing them OUTDOORS.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 10, 2021 3:37 AM |
Masks keep us safe.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 10, 2021 2:32 PM |
The vaccines keep you safe, R2. Far more so than masks.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 10, 2021 2:34 PM |
ours ends tomorrow!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 10, 2021 2:35 PM |
When St. Fauci or his CDC henchwoman appears on MSNBC telling them this situation just can't be milked any longer.

Most outdoor venues in my area (LA County) still require masks. And even after the restrictions are lifted, many people will continue to wear masks. Look at all of the people (especially Asian) who wore them before anyone had ever heard of COVID?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 10, 2021 5:02 PM |
People are still going to wear them if they want to. Masks will still be required at certain businesses, public transportation, and healthcare. (CA)

[quote] Look at all of the people (especially Asian) who wore them before anyone had ever heard of COVID?
This is precisely why Americans hate masks.
We are NOT them.

There is no reason to wear a mask outdoors. Even if you’re at a crowded outdoor event, packed like sardines, it’s your responsibility to be vaccinated. If you’re not vaccinated, what’s your excuse? Who the fuck would rather be UNvaccinated and still wearing a mask OUTDOORS, than get a vaccine and be done with it?
Yes, I know it doesn’t affect me, blah blah blah, it’s just RETARDED.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 10, 2021 7:36 PM |
r9 All I know is that I keep checking the websites of some of the outdoor venues like parks, arboretums, etc. in my area --and all of them still require masks outdoors.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 10, 2021 8:47 PM |
I was in a large store on Wednesday and very few people were wearing masks. This is in MA. They were older so I bet they are Magats.

A certain type of Asian wore them. No one else did. Let's not try to rewrite history.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 10, 2021 8:58 PM |
Here in Ireland the only people I see wearing them outside are Chinese. NOT all Asians, just Chinese people.

There is a reason to wear a mask outdoors (for the time being in some circumstances) and it's the following: any time you are in close contact with people you don't know if they're vaccinated or not. First, the vaccines are not wholly protective against anything except serious illness, hospitalisation and death. That's a great thing but it does not absolve you of responsibility to protect yourself or other people. Second, every time a virus infects, it mutates. Mutations become variants. Viruses goals are to live. To live, they need a host they can infect. So they start mutating in ways to do that. They start mutating in ways to get around resistance. So you'd better hope they don't figure out a way to escape the protective power of the vaccines or we're all back in uncharted territory. It's just common sense right now to be cautious but not hermetically sealed.

Well r14, you are obviously one of the ,"forever maskers" will come up with anything you can possibly think of to continue to wear a mask. You are welcome to it, but not me!
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 10, 2021 9:17 PM |
It would be great if people wore them at certain places during flu season and continued with the hand washing-sanitizing bit as well. Flu was basically non-existent this last season.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 10, 2021 9:32 PM |
R15, not a forever masker. But a great and grateful believer in Darwin.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 10, 2021 9:35 PM |
You’re a vaccine doubter, R17.
Wearing a mask outdoors when you’re fully vaccinated is completely ridiculous. And much as you like to think of yourself as more conscientious, cautious, prudent, superior, etc., for continuing the practice of masking *outdoors* (my god) *after full vaccination* (Jesus FUCKING Christ!), you will not be vindicated. There will not be a surge of hospitalizations, deaths, or even mildly symptomatic cases among vaccinated people who came into contact with SARS-CoV-2 outdoors. There just won’t be. Yeah yeah, “we don’t know for sure,” but we can safely make a prediction, judging from what we know about the virus and the way all airborne viruses transmit.
You won’t even see an increase in the rate of breakthrough infections from indoor contact, let alone outdoors.

Your insight into me is about as accurate as your clairvoyance. And your indifference to anyone but yourself is about as attractive as the obnoxiousness of your replies across the board. Blocked.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 11, 2021 3:14 AM |
I think they've made a mistake with this and are sending the wrong message, but whatever.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 11, 2021 3:19 AM |
That’s really insane, R20.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 11, 2021 3:37 PM |
The real issue is why we don't want to require people to prove their vaccination statuses. And the related issue of whether there will ever be a way to ensure that any such proof is accurate and verifiable.

Mask wearers are basically anti-vaxxers at this point.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 11, 2021 5:34 PM |
Texas teachers most definitely won't have a mask mandate.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 11, 2021 5:39 PM |
In California the mask mandate doesn't really end until October if you are a worker.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 11, 2021 5:45 PM |
I guess the state government in California is anti vaxx then. Along with American Samoa, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Guam, Hawaii, Illinoism Kentucky, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia.
They are forever maskers. Sad.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 11, 2021 7:53 PM |
Only ugly people want to wear masks forever.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 11, 2021 8:21 PM |
I {cough} live in {cough} {cough} Miami. We haven't {cough} had a {cough} {cough} {cough} mask mandate in like {cough} {cough} forever! {cough} {cough} {cough} {cough}
We are {cough} SO fucking {cough} lucky!

R27 Most people are visually challenged. I prefer to not see so many dogs in the morning going to work.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | June 11, 2021 8:34 PM |
I hate masks….i always get hair in my mouth from my beard….been Pfizer-ed so I’m good…ready for some human interaction.

Ewwww, you must be a hairball.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 11, 2021 8:40 PM |
Well, I think we can agree that most people look better while wearing masks.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 11, 2021 9:21 PM |
I don’t agree with that, R32.
