All you commenters seem to forget: he’s playing a character. I’m always struck by how much better-looking he is as himself. The ‘Loki’ look has never done him any favors.

I saw him in person on Broadway two years ago. He's hot. Not handsome but hot. Its interesting that the part that did the least for him physically was what turned him into a star. He didn't get all those hysterical fans from "Coriolanus" - which I also saw. He was very good but the production was horrible. But he held the stage.

I like him much better as a stage actor. But that isn't where the money is.

Insofar as Hiddleston went for women at all, he seemed to require pretty at least and to be a tits man. Swift was very pretty with a nice rack. He was also rumoured to have done Elizabeth Olsen whilst they did I Saw the Light, who is also nicely endowed up top. Feminity does seem to be necessary for him.

Ashton is stringy with a really homely face and spectacularly lacking in sex appeal.

I never bought the item. Even if he wanted a beard, he could suit himself better than Ashton, assuming he does fuck women now and then.

R22 I agree; he’s born to be on stage. The character of Loki is really fun to watch but he can command a stage.

R28 - Yes, I've seen him do it twice. I regretted missing the "Hamlet" he did for the RADA benefit. I think he's scheduled to film a James Ivory production of "Richard II". RII, in my view, is going to be a real test of accrued skill for Hiddleston - far more so than Henry V, Prince Hal, Henry IV, or Richard III (which he hasn't done). It's a far more difficult part with all those interior monologues. I'll be interested to see how he does in it.

What's more, I think he loves the theatre more than he does film work. But he'd never have gotten as far as he has without the film work, so there it is.

Just the same, the Disney LOKI series looks like fun and I think it's getting good reviews.

He's the most approachable sexually to me in that crowd of undistinguished damp and pasty Brit AWGs: Eddie Redmayne, Cumberbatch, etc. (I can't even remember their names but there are a half dozen more). A lot of DL just adores these guys.

If he's doing Richard II, he's got big shoes to fill. Tennant was a fantastic RII on stage, and Ben Whishaw was even better as Richard in the Hollow Crown. Tom better bring his A-game.
