I think his role in Versace as the surviving pretty boy/pimp boyfriend was pretty thankless. But there aren't that many Latino roles and there are a lot of really good Latino actors (Javier Bardem, Edgar Ramirez). Even Mark Consuelos - who was born the same year as Ricky - is probably a better actor. He's certainly knows how to act like the happily married, straight husband of Kelly Ripa.

When he did act, he was basically a soap actor. Most soap actors don’t get many roles outside of soap operas. Plus, he’s not that great of an actor and he’s 50, meaning you’re too old to be trying to get heartthrob roles (which is what I’m sure he wants).
