The 'husband' was a scam, and it is likely that his sexuality always has been a scam, too. Going back to 2015, many of us asked then if he could be pretending to be gay, and that question was roundly dismissed because—why? Because we assume that people don't pretend to be gay?

Look at the evidence:

—He was never linked to any kind of romantic partner until the fake husband who was never seen came along.

—He was selected by misogynists on the far right of US politics to promote their interests based on misogynistic writing in the UK. Why would Steve Bannon and the Mercer family bring an obscure British video games writer to the US to write about US politics...and gay issues? If not to serve as a partisan wedge.

—He led a "gays for Trump" rally, which I cannot imagine any actual gay person doing. I can imagine some gullible gay people attending such rallies, but not leading them.

—Look at his presentation of "gay." Have you ever know anyone who acted and dressed like he did? His gestures always have been inauthentically gay—stereotypically gay as a poor actor would do, with the clutching of pearls and head rolling, but without a difficukt to describe je ne sais quoi authentic gay manner and manner of speech. Watch a couple of his videos and ask yourself if his exaggerated mannerisms set off your gaydar or if you simply accepted he is gay because he says he is and because of how he dresses.

—Have you ever known or known of any gay man who works so hard to "dress gay"? His big floofy '80s hair is one thing. The man wore fur coats and stoles, he wore pear necklaces and bracelets, sometimes a full face of foundation and lip gloss *while smearing trans people and gay people and their rights.* He was absolutely trolling LGBT people overtly while doing press and gay men bought into his hatred because his words targeted women and trans people while encouraging gay people to join him, but his presentation also targeted gay men by emulating the most egregious stereotypes about us.

—He has always claimed to be Jewish ONLY when saying anti-Semitic things. He has said pro-Israel things while also courting anti-Semites and white supremacists, giving Nazi salutes on video, paling around with Richard Spencer, etc., saying he chose to be a Catholic despite having a Jewish heritage. He has used this same you-can't-call-me-a-bigot-because-of-my-identity smokescreen by claiming to be gay. Out magazine's idiot editor bought it (possibly while taking a big check from the Mercers) and published Yiannopoulos's misogynist, anti-transgender, antisemitic and racist comments, all on the basis that because he claimed to be gay, his comments must be taken as tongue in cheek and not offensively. In that article, he said racist shit about black people and then said he can't be racist because he likes big black cock. That statement could not be more racist, reducing black men to sex organs, which has a long history of dehumanizing racism, and Out bought it and other people bought it. An obviously fake marriage followed.

Yiannopoulis is a scammer. That is obvious to most people. Yet somehow people who recognize that he is a grifter, a con artist, a liar, all these things, take him at his word with zero evidence besides exaggerated flamboyance that amounts to gaudy clothing, quasi drag and a put-upon gay manner that he is gay. People seem not to even consider it all could have been the means to an end of getting away with saying hateful things by virtue of presenting as part of a marginalized group who can't be criticized as harshly, and bringing along hateful gay people who are prone to following their tribe.

I looked at his Telegram. Among hideous new photos of himself, he posted this: "First gay of gay month and pedos are trending."

It's insane that people think this grotesque troll is actually gay.

One question is, how does that square with the circumstances of his public disgrace, which I can't even really remember but did he say he was groomed as a child and wanted to groom others? It fits with the "victim becomes predator" model, but a good liar will usually layer several "implicit verifications" within a story that's total BS.
