I absolutely cannot stand to even hear the beginning of the theme song (comes on after Jeopardy). Pat Sajak is just repulsive on every level...and the contestants yammering on about their wonderful spouse snd 15 beautiful children is nauseating. Squealing like pigs over a vacation to Biloxi is just the epitome of trailer park entertainment.

The sounds of the wheel spinning irritates.

Are the contestants really that excited when they win a car in the final round? I always sense they're annoyed they didn't get more money.

The cars are usually something hideous.

Weird, R1. Ever since "Wheel" went to primetime in the 1980s, it always preceeded "Jeopardy!". I haven't watched it in decades (and not that it really matters), but I'd love to know at what point execs decided to switch the two.

Oh, I don't know, R11, he doesn't seem at all fazed by any but the dumbest or most over-the-top obnoxious contestant -- gay or straight. In fact, on more than a couple of occasions, I have seen him gamely/graciously take a man's hand, when asked, for the walk from the bonus round wheel to their puzzle-solving "mark" the way he always does with the female contestants (pre-Covid shows, of course).

First, do you really think Sajak makes the rules, R16?

Second, the contestants are supposed to give the complete answer in the time allotted, and that includes the toss-ups (where they're timed out if they ring in and *then* try to figure it out). In this case, as in others, you don't get to give the part(s) of the answer you know and then just plug in the part(s) you don't. If she had restarted with the complete answer, without "I'm still figuring it out" pauses, before the buzzer sounded, she would have won regardless of when she finished. It feels like Audi just gave her one heck of a participation trophy.

R8, i actually thought the same thing. WoF has traditionally gotten better ratings than Jeopardy (except in the last couple of years), so maybe the switch happened to drive more viewers into the primetime leadout.

How come Wheel didn’t celebrate Pat’s 40th anniversary on the show the other day?
