Vampire Diaries star Michael Malarkey is really pushing hard for Palestine

Will he have to do a Mark Ruffalo to work again?

What do you think of what he has to say? Does it make sense. (I don't know too much about the issues involved.)

Isn't Malarkey British?

The Brits have a different take on the Israel/Palestine conflict because they don't have a sizable populace of Jewish people in influential positions in society/political policy like the USA does.

Oh wait. Apologies. I should have Googled first.

He is Lebanese born. He has Lebanese, British and American citizenship.

So that explains his views on the conflict I guess.

He's going to get cancelled.

He was born in Lebanon lived briefly in the UK as an infant and then grew up in the US. He went to college in the UK and adopted their accent until he returned to the US for Vampire Diaries.

I don't discount any reminders of the suffering the Palestinian people experience. I also don't blame it all on Israel. The #1 Hamas leader killed during this battle was hiding out in the center of multiple schools, a hospital, and apartment buildings.

But whenever you see people get really indignant about Israel, take a minute to think about what other human rights situations they get as angry and upset about. The middle east is full of them. I know there's some whataboutism in my argument but damn if its sometimes hard to find these same people going on record about human rights violations in the Muslim world, let alone getting political and angrily advocating against Israel

Another racist Arab supporting Hamas terror against Jews while ignoring Hamas terror against Gazans.

by Anonymousreply 10June 1, 2021 5:55 AM

Cancel this racist ofay motherfucker.

by Anonymousreply 11June 1, 2021 6:28 AM

Funny, Ian Somerhalder is really preachy on his social media too.

Can being on a CW show really swell your head that much?
