Yes! Start with reparations to the families of all the murdered transgender women of color!

The article is very interesting in exploring the depths of the discrimination and all the cases that were fought (and lost).
But no - we owe all of our gay rights to two drag queens who weren't even at Stonewall.

The article states "[bold]Gay[/bold] Reparations Are Past Due"

Oh FUCK no. I'm a healthy gay man with a job I like and I'm enjoying my life.
Spend that money on Universal Healthcare.

I am not in favor of reparations for anyone regardless of what has happened to them. Making people who didn't do the wrong pay for the wrong is also wrong and will just create more resentment against that group. I am in favor of programs to to help disadvantage people whether they were part of a class that has been wronged or not.

I just want a hefty discount with better designers and a mandatory ten year lead on straight people moving in on my gentrification.

I’m ready and waiting with my routing number…

Half the country is just fine with continuing to deny gays our rights. No one is getting reparations any time soon

Just give everyone UBI.

What would those be? A Weather Girls LP, a used David Leavitt novel and a hearty "Thank you for your service, MARY!'?

Ok I'll take my reparations in the form of two free center orchestra tickets to every show that opens on and off Broadway for the rest of my life.

No. I don't deserve reparations. Nobody does. Regardless of what your trying hard been through. R5 nailed it.

Regardless of what your tribe has been through.

Riiiight. We've had it so tough,

Then, everyone will start claiming their gay.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 1, 2021 4:01 AM |
Tell me about it @ r15! Everyone seems to have a “gay” these days!
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 1, 2021 4:16 AM |
It's about time that they started thinking about Gays and reparations for once! During the AIDS crisis gay men were treated as the lowest of the low - horrible. "There will be an answer" as it says in the classic Let It Be song..........!
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 1, 2021 4:36 AM |
I need reparations for all the dumbs like r17.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 1, 2021 4:41 AM |
I demand reparations not only for every job I ever got passed over for, but for every shitty TV show and movie that ever depicted gay people in a negative light, for every record Anita Bryant ever recorded, and for all gay and lesbian bodies sacrificed to the tr*ns cult.
I also want reparations for every parking ticket I ever paid and for every rent increase I’ve ever had to pay.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 1, 2021 4:54 AM |
And if we are talking about reparations for Anita Bryant having a career, there should be 10 times as many reparations for Eminem having a career.

Will it be like what we had to do to get the $5 rebate on our Milli Vanilli cassettes--"Cut out the insert an mail it into blah blah blah with a self-addressed, stamped envelope..."
