Who is your favorite among the ladies who had big hits starting in the 80s but had no hits after 1989?
Who is your favorite 80s pop diva?

I know Sheena managed to chart a bit into the 90s, but I felt like she should be included in this.

OP, why are you so obsessed with Laura Branigan tonight? Weird.

I...haven’t posted anything else about Laura Branigan tonight. Try again.

I voted for Laura. She was great.

What happened to Kim Wilde?

R6, She still tours and has a side career as an author of gardening books.

Why was I not included, bitch?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 28, 2021 7:30 AM |
Because you kept having hits after the 80s, bitch.

How is it possible that the horrific Kim Carnes got any votes at all?

R9 none of these girls can compete with me. I sold pictures of my hairy fuzzy pussy and still stayed on top of the world.

1st place Cyndi, runner up Belinda.

Kim Wilde all the way. She was gorgeous and had catchy songs.

Even though Kim Wilde only had 2 American top 40 hits, I included her because I was so familiar with all her UK hits.
As for the other Kim, I hated Bette Davis Eyes, but I liked her Cafe Racers album when I was in high school.
Belinda and Branigan would be my two favorites though.
Objectively, Cyndi is the most musically talented and I do still like her.
No love for Juice? Understandable.
