If this is a real post: I had a friend/fuck-buddy from 2018 and 3 years prior arrested and imprisoned for child porn. He lived in another state and we only got together on a few occasions, but we would skype every night for a few hours and watch CB cams together. I knew he was kinky but never even suspected that he was interested in child porn because our conversations never involved any hint of that. so sad his life went that way, i definitely thought of him as my best friend at that time and didn't understand when i stopped hearing from him until i did a google search on him. i have no idea to the extent he was involved but he was busted. and you'd think that being an IT professional he'd know how to cover his tracks, which must mean he had some truly sick shit he downloaded on the dark web.

I have an acquaintance who was arrested too. I think it’s because it’s available - these guys go down a rabbit hole of porn finding crazier and crazier stuff. With the crazy stuff online, it seems like one more level of extreme. More and more guys are being found with these huge stashes of pics.

Agreed, r9. i remember one off-hand comment he made prior to his arrest. Something like: i've gone down a rabbit hole. But that was really it, I never read too much into it. I just brushed him off because i thought he was trying out the latest huge traffic cone anal dildo which was not at all my interest. It's weird how people can keep this stuff so well-hidden. There was a guy in my law school class (I wouldn't say he was a friend, but he was in our social group) who was very popular, clean-cut/preppy, top of the class, even ran for class president. Passed the bar the first time, got married and had a kid, quickly became a partner in a top law firm (according to Facebook). A few years later I see that he's facing child porn charges. He was sentenced to 20 years. I never would have suspected this guy.

it was hard to move on from this FB. we were such good friends and FBs during the time we were acquainted. I even attended a 4th of July week long camping trip with over 40 relatives as well as a Thanksgiving holiday up in NorCal. I never suspected him in the least. It just hit home because i never thought i couldn't have figured something like that out. i felt sad for any victims and sad for him. and felt clueless that i didn't know he was this level when we were supposedly such close friends. it still makes me check myself with any new person in my life.
