Glee: Lea Michele was A CUNT, but we didn't know what to do! -- Heather

CUUUUNT.

Heather Morris opened up about what it was like to star alongside Lea Michele on Glee after allegations that the former Broadway star mistreated her castmates.

“I remember getting so much shade and people were like, ‘Why don’t you go out and say it?’ And I’m like, ‘Guys, she’s pregnant and all this stuff is going around,’” Morris, 34, recalled on the Wednesday, May 26, episode of the “Everything Iconic With Danny Pellegrino” podcast, referring to the controversy that surrounded Michele, also 34, in 2020. “And it’s true, I don’t know if maybe we were victims of bullying, and it’s a very victim thing to do to blame yourself, which is what people were saying, but … the only person who was honest about it was Naya [Rivera].”

The Dancing With the Stars alum went on to explain why the cast did not complain about the Scream Queens alum during filming. “It was something that was very hush-hush on set, and now you see all these things coming out with these bigger names who were very disrespectful and mistreated a lot of people,” she noted. “We absolutely could have stepped up and gone to the Fox execs and said how we felt about the situation, but no one did. … I think many people were very scared, and I know, genuinely, I felt like it wasn’t my place, and I don’t know why because I was a cast member.”

I don't have a dog in this stupid 'feud,' but enough with the wallowing in victimhood! It seems every other celebrity is all about playing the victim these days. I wish the left were more about positive-thinking and encouraging people to persevere. It's healthier.

by Anonymousreply 1May 27, 2021 7:51 AM

This behavior will damage future productions, part of acting is that you create relationships and be vulnerable with other actors to create the chemistry that you see on screen. How can they do this properly with a lawyer attached to each of them on set watching their every move?

by Anonymousreply 2May 27, 2021 8:16 AM

Did she mention anything about her farting on set?

by Anonymousreply 3May 27, 2021 10:31 AM

I could see how Cory's death would make them more hesitant to confront her but based on reports of how she acted I would have gone off on the bitch despite that tragedy. However, she probably would have gotten the person fired if they did that, unless it was Darren Criss.

by Anonymousreply 4May 27, 2021 10:37 AM

Do we have a timeline of Lea's cuntyness? Before Cory died? After Cory died?

What says Jane Lynch vis a vis Lea's cuntyness? And what does Matthew Morrison have to say? I need more than featured player Heather and some under 5 day player.

by Anonymousreply 5May 27, 2021 11:47 AM

Lea Sarfati was rude?????? Noooooo

by Anonymousreply 6May 27, 2021 1:25 PM
What says Jane Lynch vis a vis Lea's cuntyness? And what does Matthew Morrison have to say? I need more than featured player Heather and some under 5 day player.

But, that's just it.

She probably wasn't as big a bitch to bigger names as she was to supporting cast members, crew, and others. Unless you're a huge star and simply don't care, you're always going to target your behavior specifically against those who have less credibility and less ability to do anything about it. The show runners would have to take it seriously if Jane or Matthew did something, whereas the supporting cast could simply be rotated out.

by Anonymousreply 7May 27, 2021 1:40 PM

I don't understand why they didn't just out-cunt Lea and bully her right back as a group? Be super condescending and snarky and throw plenty of shade right at her face, but be subtle so that it'd be difficult to prove should she complain to Murphy or execs.

If a co-worker is behaving cuntily towards you, you should just out-cunt them! None of this victim mentality bullshit.

by Anonymousreply 8May 27, 2021 2:48 PM
She probably wasn't as big a bitch to bigger names

Bigger names? BIGGER NAMES? There ARE no bigger names than LEA MICHELE!

by Anonymousreply 9May 27, 2021 3:28 PM

There's nothing more awkward than when the Boss' Pet is a tyrant. I've been there and the job SUCKED.

by Anonymousreply 10May 27, 2021 3:42 PM

Lea Michele fell out the ugly tree.

by Anonymousreply 11May 27, 2021 3:48 PM

This is a pretty tired story at this point. Yes, everyone knows at this point Lea Michele was a huge cunt to everyone on the set of 'Glee"; but now the story's out she has no career because no one will hire her.

Tell us something new.

by Anonymousreply 12May 27, 2021 3:55 PM
I wish the left were more about positive-thinking and encouraging people to persevere

But they did persevere. Morris was on the show's whole run, no?

by Anonymousreply 13May 27, 2021 4:11 PM

There was nothing any of her fellow cast members could do. Lea was number one on the call sheet. There's a reason people say that the first name on the call sheet sets the tone of the set.

by Anonymousreply 14May 27, 2021 4:12 PM
There was nothing any of her fellow cast members could do. Lea was number one on the call sheet.

Wouldn't the actual stars of the show, Matthew Morrison and Jane Lynch, have been first?

Lea was only the first among the students.

by Anonymousreply 15May 27, 2021 4:14 PM

Morrison was in no way the star of the show, however the intentions when putting the show together. And Lynch was the "and" veteran.

by Anonymousreply 16May 27, 2021 4:17 PM

R13 let's not forget how "positive" the right is /sarc

by Anonymousreply 17May 27, 2021 4:18 PM

Lea was (is?) Murphy's pet. Short of her setting someone on fire, there was nothing she couldn't get away with on that set.

by Anonymousreply 18May 27, 2021 4:22 PM

I'M GOING TO SHIT IN YOUR WIGS!

by Anonymousreply 19May 27, 2021 4:22 PM
Lea was (is?) Murphy's pet. Short of her setting someone on fire, there was nothing she couldn't get away with on that set.

And like so many of Miz Ryan's pets, she's been tossed aside.

by Anonymousreply 20May 27, 2021 4:22 PM

Lea just posted on Instagram a pic of her kid with Uncle Darren. Again I dont know him but he seems super kind to fans and other celebs who interact with him. Why be close friends with such a bitch? Though I guess shes super nice to him to he disregards her rudeness to others?

by Anonymousreply 21May 27, 2021 4:34 PM

I've wondered the same but re Jonathan Groff. The only thing I can think is that Michele has told them something about her childhood that gives her a pass in their eyes.

by Anonymousreply 22May 27, 2021 4:37 PM

I acquaintances with people who I know can be cunty and rude but I'm definitely not super close or bfs with them. I do sometimes wonder if cast members are exaggerating her cuntiness not that I think they are lying. The stories are just so ridiculous. I'll shit in your wig?

by Anonymousreply 23May 27, 2021 4:38 PM

R23 meant to put an am after I

by Anonymousreply 24May 27, 2021 4:40 PM

R21 Darren seems like an opportunist. He'll be friends with a cunt if it'll help his career.

R22 I think that's EVERYONE's question about Groff.

by Anonymousreply 25May 27, 2021 4:44 PM

R25 true he screams opportunist as likeable as he seems.

by Anonymousreply 26May 27, 2021 4:45 PM

However would being friends with Lea Michele help someone's career?

by Anonymousreply 27May 27, 2021 4:46 PM

Well, what production got Darren and Emmy? Who was behind that production?

by Anonymousreply 28May 27, 2021 4:49 PM

*an Emmy

by Anonymousreply 29May 27, 2021 4:49 PM

Lea was probably a huge cunt, but who cares. It was a pretty big ensemble cast, just ignore the one bitch.

by Anonymousreply 30May 27, 2021 4:49 PM

Easier said than done, especially as she might have targeted people who ignored her.

by Anonymousreply 31May 27, 2021 4:51 PM

You think Murphy gave a shit that Criss was friends with Michele? Eh I guess it could have helped.

by Anonymousreply 32May 27, 2021 4:52 PM

R30 is it that easy to ignore the star?

by Anonymousreply 33May 27, 2021 4:52 PM

r31 r33 true, but was she really the star? The main cast were all pretty important to the show. Was Lea even really an audience favorite?

by Anonymousreply 34May 27, 2021 4:54 PM
You think Murphy gave a shit that Criss was friends with Michele? Eh I guess it could have helped.

At one stage, Murphy was going to build a revival of "Funny Girl" around Lea Michele. Darren may have wanted in on that production or some other mooted production with Michele. It's not rocket science to conjecture why he might have wanted to keep in with Murphy's pet... And don't forget, Murphy stayed silent on Lea Michelegate. A GLEE reboot was in the works. They may work together again, even if GLEE never returns.

by Anonymousreply 35May 27, 2021 4:54 PM
true, but was she really the star? The main cast were all pretty important to the show. Was Lea even really an audience favorite?

That's like asking if Bonnie Franklin was the star of One Day at a Time. Yes, she was. No matter how much she may be loathed. She was seen as the essential cast member to the show.

by Anonymousreply 36May 27, 2021 4:56 PM

All the stories I read and heard was Lea being a cunt and bully to other girls. She seems to have gotten along, more or less, well with the guys and her boss, Ryan Murphy.

It looks like Lea saw every other girl on set as a threat to her position on the show.

by Anonymousreply 37May 27, 2021 4:57 PM

I don't think Chris Whatisface liked Michele. What about the blond dude?

by Anonymousreply 38May 27, 2021 5:00 PM

R34 hahahahahahahahahah

Was Sarah Michelle Gellar the star of Buffy? Was Tina Fey the star of 30 Rock? Was Will Smith the star of Fresh Prince?

by Anonymousreply 39May 27, 2021 5:02 PM

r39 I watched several seasons of Glee and Rachel was NOT the star of that show. Gellar was Buffy so she was the star of Buffy, Smith was the Fresh Prince so he was the star of that show. Glee was about a Glee club and the cast was interchangeable. Maybe in Lea's head she was the star and perhaps to some people she was the "star" of Glee, but she really wasn't. Cory Monteith's role was as big as Lea's for most of the series and he died and the show still went on, Glee definitely would have survived without Lea's obnoxious ass.

by Anonymousreply 40May 27, 2021 5:24 PM
Rachel was NOT the star of that show.

Yes, she was.

by Anonymousreply 41May 27, 2021 5:32 PM

R40 "some people", like Ryan Murphy and the entire production staff. I think Lea is heinous and was glad to see her eat shit last year, but saying she wasn't THE STAR of that show is rewriting history.

by Anonymousreply 42May 27, 2021 5:33 PM

Ryan Murphy loved that she was a bitchy cunt and hired her exactly for it his other muse Emma Roberts is the same.

by Anonymousreply 43May 27, 2021 5:34 PM

Lea had the most "A" storylines that dominated the episodes while others like Jenna Ushkowitz's Tina only had "B" or "C" story plots.

by Anonymousreply 44May 27, 2021 5:35 PM

R43 and they had babies at the same time. Jesus Christ, imagine enrolling your kid in school and seeing those 2 psychos in the same class.

by Anonymousreply 45May 27, 2021 5:37 PM

I'm sorry who again?

by Anonymousreply 46May 27, 2021 5:39 PM

I stopped watching after the Season 2 finale with Olivia Newton John. It cracked me up to see that they had a sexy Fosse type number with Lea Michele in one of the later seasons.

by Anonymousreply 47May 27, 2021 5:39 PM
Miss Jennifer Lawrence, Academy Award winning film star

Is there a story there because Lawrence is already cold.

by Anonymousreply 48May 27, 2021 5:40 PM

Did Lea kick a baby or something, or was she just a demanding cunt? If the latter is all they've got then I really don't care. OMG a diva acting like a diva. YAWN.

by Anonymousreply 49May 27, 2021 5:42 PM

R40 = Jenna Ushkowitz

by Anonymousreply 50May 27, 2021 5:43 PM

It seems less like Lea was the sole asshole and more like there were teams. Notice Darren, Chris, Jane, and Matthew haven’t said anything about her. Likely because she was friendly to them. She probably saw all the others as beneath her (and saw Naya as a threat) and treated them accordingly.

by Anonymousreply 51May 27, 2021 5:45 PM

Murphy said that there was poor behavior rife on GLEE.

by Anonymousreply 52May 27, 2021 5:47 PM

and Ryan was aware of the situation but didn’t do anything about it because he secretly has a hard on for her personality, she is like a real life character in one of his shows.

by Anonymousreply 53May 27, 2021 5:49 PM

Was anyone a nightmare on POPULAR?

by Anonymousreply 54May 27, 2021 5:52 PM
Ryan Murphy loved that she was a bitchy cunt and hired her exactly for it his other muse Emma Roberts is the same.

This is very true. He is obsessed (among many other things) with bitchy young girls, and has been since his first TV show ("Popular").

It's interesting he has only used Lea Michele once again after "Glee," and it was on another show about bitchy young girls that starred Roberts, "Popular."

I think of his many obsessions, this is probably his least interesting.

by Anonymousreply 55May 27, 2021 5:56 PM
Notice Darren, Chris, Jane, and Matthew haven’t said anything about her. Likely because she was friendly to them

Criss is in her circle but is monetizing fan support on social media in various ways -so he'll make sure to stay mum.

The rest of these moved on long time ago and don't want to be dragged into pointless (for them) controversies.

by Anonymousreply 56May 27, 2021 5:58 PM

That's not true about Morrison. He made supportive comments about Michele.

by Anonymousreply 57May 27, 2021 6:02 PM

Morrison and Michele dated for a hot minute pre-Glee.

by Anonymousreply 58May 27, 2021 6:03 PM

I’m actually surprised she is not a leo like Madonna,J.Lo, Charlize Theron and Meghan.

by Anonymousreply 59May 27, 2021 6:07 PM

Lynch strikes me as the type to stay in her trailer until the scene is setup, arrive, nail her take the first or second time and then leave back to her trailer. I don’t think she wanted anything to do with the rest of the cast, both personally and as a type of method acting.

by Anonymousreply 60May 27, 2021 6:08 PM

I think her problem is that not many people outside of theatre queens even knew who the fuck she was before Glee. So to come into a situation where pretty much the entire cast was on equal footing fame wise it seems a little absurd for her to have been that nasty and over the top cunty.

by Anonymousreply 61May 27, 2021 6:13 PM

Yeah, I’m sure Morrison ‘dated’ that mustachioed theater Queen little girl cunt. She’s built to be a fag hag and that’s IT.

by Anonymousreply 62May 27, 2021 6:17 PM

I think the two adults, Morrison and Lynch, were exempt from the backstage drama and shenanigans that gripped the younger people. Both of them had much more experience then the younger people, and I also think were respected by them as a result: they had already been minor kinds of "stars" (Morrison on Broadway, Lynch in the Christopher Guest movies) and so the troublemakers respected them.

With Lea Michele and the other younger troublemakers, it was much the case as is usual with other teen or young twentysomething stars who behave badly on sets. they're insecure and want to be permanent stars and worry they will not be, so they take it out on their peers. it's like Shannon Doherty on the sets of "90210" and "Charmed"--they feel the only way they can build themselves up is to tear down other people whom they see as competition.

by Anonymousreply 63May 27, 2021 6:17 PM

If Lea had fucked Morrison she would have been dickmatized. I doubt that happened.

by Anonymousreply 64May 27, 2021 6:18 PM

R61 Lea was a professional actress for a decade and a half before arriving at Glee, a part that was created with her in mind. Of the younger cast Chris had literally just come out of high school, and most were obscure struggling wanna be actors. Heather probably had the next highest standing having been on tour with Beyoncé. She was brought into choreograph a scene and stayed.

by Anonymousreply 65May 27, 2021 6:23 PM
Heather probably had the next highest standing having been on tour with Beyoncé.

That's wishful thinking.

by Anonymousreply 66May 27, 2021 6:27 PM

R25 Specially because everybody says Groff is really nice and he seems to be easy to work with.

I suppose she behaves different when she is with him. They have a lot of back story so maybe she really likes her for so long that he gives her a pass.

Anyway, something makes me think that Lea was only part of Glee's set problems. Generally when a teen show is a hit and unknown actors become stars all of a sudden a good bunch of them start to behave like they were royalty.

13 RW actors seem to really get along pretty well, but Christian Navarro only needed a couple of week to unfollow the rest of the cast and saying how good is not having to work with them

by Anonymousreply 67May 27, 2021 6:43 PM

People give a pass to their friends for a lot of stuff, especially when they're not personally involved or impacted.

by Anonymousreply 68May 27, 2021 6:50 PM

I know it's a stereotype, but the gays LOVE messy, crazy and cunty divas.

by Anonymousreply 69May 27, 2021 6:54 PM

Did she really shit in someone's wig?

by Anonymousreply 70May 27, 2021 6:55 PM

I think it's annoying that Heather Morrison calls Lea Michele a bully but doesn't bother to give examples. She implies the behavior got worse after Cory died, but there were many rumours before that.

I'm embarrassed to say that I used to be a major stan of hers.

by Anonymousreply 71May 27, 2021 7:01 PM

You'd better not cross Miss Lea. Look what happened to us.

by Anonymousreply 72May 27, 2021 7:06 PM

R72 Lea stopped the search parties from finding Naya in the cabins!

by Anonymousreply 73May 27, 2021 7:22 PM

I know it's a stereotype, but the gays LOVE messy, crazy and cunty divas.

Correction: [bold]young[/bold] gay men love messy, crazy, and cunty divas.

Once you have to start working in an actual career with people who behave like this, you no longer find them endearingly sassy or fabulous. You just find them wearisome and obnoxious, and you apply that to the messy, crazy, and cunty divas in entertainment.

The only gay men over 30 I know who still love behavior like this do not have regular careers--they just go from one job to another.

by Anonymousreply 74May 27, 2021 7:43 PM

R70 according to Samantha Ware, who was in the last season, Lea threatened to do that to her.

by Anonymousreply 75May 27, 2021 7:44 PM

I'm still waiting on Melissa Benoist to finally make some public comments about Lea. One of the worst rumors about Lea has always been that she was jealous of how popular Marley (Melissa Benoist) and Jake (Jacob Artist) were as the new couple and had them fired because of it.

by Anonymousreply 76May 27, 2021 8:04 PM

R76 honestly, it was probably the best thing for Melissa. Supergirl put her on the map. Like when Hilary Swank was fired from 90210 and got an Oscar for Boys Dont Cry

by Anonymousreply 77May 27, 2021 8:07 PM

I bet Cory killed himself because he knew it was the only way he could escape Lea.

by Anonymousreply 78May 27, 2021 8:11 PM

R78 I'm almost positive they had broken up several weeks before his overdose. I remember her getting a lot of shit for playing victim when she'd already dumped him.

R77 I agree it worked for Melissa. She's far more successful than Lea, so I don't see why it would hurt her to corroborate these other claims.

by Anonymousreply 79May 27, 2021 8:16 PM

R78 I don't think they were even really dating and Cori had a lot of issues years before he even met her

by Anonymousreply 80May 27, 2021 8:17 PM

For such a young cast, they've had a lot of deaths. Who's next?

by Anonymousreply 82May 27, 2021 9:14 PM

She used to let awful farts go all over the set to intimidate people

by Anonymousreply 83May 27, 2021 9:18 PM

Lea did fuck Morrision. She and Morrison were both busy fucking the opposite sex during their Broadway days.

by Anonymousreply 84May 27, 2021 9:22 PM

I’m surprised Blake Jenner has come out and say Lea drove him to beat his wife.

by Anonymousreply 85May 27, 2021 9:28 PM

I don't think Blake could get away with saying anything, if he really did have stories to tell. I'm sure he has some, since he was collateral damage in forcing out the newer kids.

by Anonymousreply 86May 27, 2021 10:09 PM
I think it's annoying that Heather Morrison calls Lea Michele a bully but doesn't bother to give examples. She implies the behavior got worse after Cory died, but there were many rumours before that. I'm embarrassed to say that I used to be a major stan of hers.

You were apparently such a big fan, you couldn't spell her fucking NAME right.

by Anonymousreply 87May 28, 2021 12:03 AM

R97 Matthew Morris is appalled at your actions right now.

by Anonymousreply 88May 28, 2021 12:12 AM

R88 is looking into the future

by Anonymousreply 89May 28, 2021 12:17 AM

She killed my mama

by Anonymousreply 90May 30, 2021 4:46 PM

People are really tearing Heather Morris apart for answering the interviewer's question. She didn't bring the topic up herself and it was a very small part of what she spoke about, but somehow she's a demon and Lea is the true victim. People are so stupid.

by Anonymousreply 91May 30, 2021 4:57 PM

Why is this bitch best friends with Jonathan Groff? I don't get it. Groff is such a genuine, lovely person and he's best friends with this evil witch.

by Anonymousreply 92May 30, 2021 5:26 PM

Gavin Creel performed a song called "Pretending Love" around the time of his relationship with Groff. If it was about the latter, it wasn't a flattering portrait.
