Rusty Warren, queen of risque party albums, is dead to me!

I'll bounce my boobies and lift knockers up to your memory...

Oh no! I loved Rusty Warren. I was at a film festival in Honolulu about 20 years ago and Rusty was introduced in the audience. She was already a little old lady then.

Hadn't thought about Rusty in years. Loved her songs on Dr Demento.

Isn't that cute? Isn't that true?

Rusty did AIDS benefits in the 1980s before it was chic. I can't find links, but she sure did.

In one of the youtube videos, she claims three bathhouses - one in Chicago, two in San Francisco - as regular stops. It’s where she met Bette Midler.

She was also an out lesbian.

I loved Rusty, a brassy, classy broad and a true pioneer. Even more after I found her "Knockers Up" LP in my late pop's record collection (along with Leadbelly and various Strauss waltzes).

All that hetero humor and she was a lesbian?

by Anonymousreply 11May 28, 2021 6:48 AM

Rusty wasn't the only singer in this genre
