Are they always incompetent and corrupt?
HR Cunts

Yes, or fake. It's an overrated job that should be fully automated and done away with.

yes. always fake, incompetence and insincere

The more they look like they wax their lips - or could consider it - the worse they are.
They're all glandular, have female trouble, are afraid of getting vaccinated (and lied about it), and their clothes are either too loose or too tight.

Mostly they are uniformly evil. However, Celestina from HR was an absolute angel, helpful and understanding. Of 40 years of constant employment, I can only name one person of whom I have a fond recollection.

OP, I'm assuming by 'cunts' you mean female and male cunts. In that case, YES I agree.

There's a woman named Liz Ryan who is very active on LinkedIn who has written a number of books about HR and she totally gets it.
She never outright says "they are a bunch of incompetent cunts" but she implies it.
Her books/posts are all about a more sane and humane way to manage HR
I have definitely cribbed some of her theories when advising clients on how to handle their HR function.

I had one woman who ran HR in a company I was at. She was a good competent professional person. She didn't last. People doing the hiring want cunts and pricks in that position.

Absolute disingenuous cunts. Love meaningless buzzwords like people centred strategy. They’re the Gladys Kravtizes of the corporate world.

They made office culture even more toxic

Miserable, soulless people

The last company I worked for actually had a very good, pleasant HR person. She actually was one of the most competent people at that company! I liked her and she was always on top of things. If you emailed her with a question, she would find the answer and email you right back.

No, before I separated from my job 9 years ago because it began affecting my mental health, the lady from HR who was supposed to be on the side of my supervisor, was extremely understanding and compassionate. When on a benzo bender in 2009, I ordered lots of quality stuff from MOMA online. I returned from a ten day trip to London to celebrate my 50th bday, to a shedload of packages. One of them contained Christmas cards that when folded outward, turned into a nativity scene. There were only 6 in the box. Anna Marie got one of them.

They’re a big part of the reason why folks are resigning in droves from corporate America. They’ve gotten way too big for their britches.

I wonder how they cope with their constant two-faced behavior. Those phony corporate smiles, extolling company values. Managing “paper trails” to fire people. Covering up executives’ sexual peccadilloes, but punishing “inappropriate language” of lesser beings on the food chain.
I worked for a major New York ad agency for 4 years, including over a year in HR, from ‘83-‘87. So I was aware of the married account executive who assaulted the Latina cleaning lady after hours, the more expansive health benefits plans for executives, immediate upon hire, instead of having to wait 3 months, the common knowledge that high level officers were so drunk and abusive most afternoons that even communication was impossible, employees with obvious AIDS that were being discreetly nudged out. Not to mention the fact that executives on a huge client had been embezzling from them for years.
So I wonder how those smiley HR people managed to handle these grueling double standards from day to day.
