I hope they all die, aside from the guides.

That's the last place you want breathing problems!

Let them die and leave their bodies there, the entitled fucks.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 22, 2021 3:27 PM |
How could anyone under the present circumstances think this was a good idea?

I don't understand this disease. No one does. Will we ever?
My sister was in the hospital with it. Despite being intimately close with her husband during the build-up and recovery- in a small home- he never contracted the virus. Why?
Then you hear almost an entire group of partygoers or funeral attendees got sick, and some die.
Two similar guys get it. One has zero symptoms; one wastes away in a hospital on machines, getting limbs amputated... dies.
Why??

The sherpas don't deserve everything these rich spoiled brats put them through. Now they're going to get sick and some won't make it.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 22, 2021 3:34 PM |
Disgraceful.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 22, 2021 3:36 PM |
Was there an effort to vaccinate the Sherpas prior to the climbing season?
I'm curious as to how this will play out. They are likely using the rapid test, which has a higher false negative rate.
I can see some of these entitled climbers not knowing they have it, or they had it in the past year and don't realize the impact it's had on their breathing.

You have to climb to the top of Mt. Everest to reach the Valley Of The Covid... You're alone there, and the feeling of nausea is... overpowering.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 22, 2021 4:13 PM |
Many Sherpas are now positive and isolating, while reportedly the paying climbers are still socializing and holding parties, not caring who catches what, because for $50-100K per person they've got a right to party!
If the Sherpas start putting tripwires on the high mountain trails, I wouldn't blame them one bit.

Fuck these people.

[quote] Fuck these people.
Yes, but they had the right to take other people's money, climb this mountain and 'speak their truth'.
The mountain has claimed only 200 corpses so far.

It's an element of the conspiracy to keep people of color off the mountain

Can you back up the claim in the sentence you copied and pasted, [R12]?

Who is spending that kind of money for this expedition during a pandemic?
I want their names.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 4, 2022 6:59 AM |
Thank you kindly, R15. I will be reporting them to HR asap.

To feel oppressed by a mountain. Can’t wait for the eventual Netflix documentary.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 4, 2022 7:24 AM |
There won't be a Netflix documentary if the expedition ends in failure or death.
