Air Crash Investigation - Mayday!
I love those shows. And, strangely, the more I know about what causes crashes, the less afraid I am of hiccups that may occur in a flight.
Tonight I saw a clip I had never seen before, of an Air China flight that crashed on some mountain where only thirty something passengers survived, most of them sitting in the back near a travel agent who had made the mistake of leaving his passport at home. His blunder relegated his travel group to be seated in the back and they were all pissed at him and he thought he’d get fired. As it turned out, they were thankful to him for saving their lives. Hopefully he didn’t get sacked.
Do you have a favorite episode? (And yes, we’ve previously discussed the cunt passenger from the Air France crash who complained that she didn’t get enough good service in the mayhem and made a career out of it).

This one, it's full of twists and turns and ends up with a murder.

R2, speaking of twist and turns, your link does just that - it provides us with no information whatsoever on that flight.

[quote] the reenactments are really good.
For the most part they are, and the casting is spot-on. There are exceptions, like when they use the same footage of a screaming woman’s lips very close up, or when they cast an uglier actor to play the part of what in real life is/was a very hot pilot.

I enjoy looking at air crash victims. That Malaysia shoot-down over Ukraine was the worst.

I made the mistake of watching this show the night before a plane trip. Won’t do that again.
Other than that, I do love this show and those of its jandra.

The episode about the ghost plane of Helios Airways was gripping too.

Remember when all DC-10s were grounded after American Airlines 191 crashed on 25th May 1979 at Chicago O'Hare? Remember when no 747s were ground after TWA 800 exploded 13 minutes after departing JFK in New York 17th July 1996, due to a fuel tank under the fuselage exploding? Riddle me that.

I’m like Aretha. I will never fly again! It’s just so damn sad that I’m stuck forever in Hawaii.

I've been using DL for over ten years and never seen "jandra" ever used here, sarcastic or not

Jandra is indeed a bona fide selection from the DL lexicon.
I like the episode where the Russian pilot lets his kid fly the airliner full of passengers. What could go wrong?
