After reading the various articles, it appears that monstrosity of a wedding put the Harkles on a bad footing with multiple people, including QEII. Maybe if they'd just had some quiet service like Chuck & Cammy did, things wouldn't have unraveled quite so quickly and dramatically

The first (or second) wedding of Harry’s first wife was on a beach in Jamaica or somesuch. She was only marrying a peasant, so one can forgive the tackiness.

We don’t know why this one was, so tacky, though. I suppose doing a second wedding with appropriate scale wouldn’t have brought as much ATTENTION.

Yes, the photos are lovely. However, it's difficult to compliment those two because they lie every time they open their mouths. Lying has led to such a bad impression of them with many more complications (grifting, dishonesty, throwing others under the bus, being hypocritical, misrepresenting themselves, preaching to others, having Frogmore Cottage remodeled at the British taxpayers' expense when they had no intention of living there and didn't tell anyone [yes, they paid it back under pressure], saying she was going to commit suicide and didn't know where to turn when she was the one who recommended Harry get help, him wanting millions from his father when he left town and wasn't performing any duty, etc., etc.).
