R20, that was more a teen oriented show. Since he's now in his 40s, if his target audience is closer to his age, he might do very well, especially if it's a variety type talk show.

They already have one and her name is Kelly Clarkson. Most of Ellen’s fraubase already moved to Kelly. They feel beey protective of her because they all “helped” her win American Idol. Plus, she is kind of chubby so they relate to her.

And, while I am ashamed to admit it, I kinda like the Kelly-oke segment of her show when she sings audiences requests. Her rendition of “Alone” by Heart was really good.

It will be far easier for networks to put Kelly in Ellen’s old time slot than it will be to find a new hit. Even if they don’t , it wont matter. With Ellen gone, her viewers will move to Kelly. By this time next year she will be the Queen of talk.

They dont need to replace her. Daytime is always overcrowded and they can just insert someone else who already has a show in her timeslot

When Kelly Clarkson came along, I kind of thought her show would one day fill Ellen’s slot (no pun). How is Kelly for ratings? They could beef up her show with the giveaways, etc., and give her the timeslot.

Plus it's time daytime got back some of its divas again.

This talk of “replacing her” is really a misnomer. It isn’t like this is “the Tonight Show”. Replace her just means give a different show her time slot. Ellen being out means there is a new opening for a Queen of Daytime. But, it doesn’t mean it will be filled by a new comer.

A show with a loyal audience who can take the remainder of Ellen’s fans is probably the best choice. So, probably Kelly, who is already beating Ellen in the ratings, or maybe Drew.

It would not be a good career move for Tiffany Haddish. A day time talk show is a lot of work, and she is still climbing in fame. A day time talk show is best for someone is already hit their peak and needs a nee direction. Now, I would love to see her do a late night show on a major network. NBC and ABC are filled, but FOX could use one. Or CBS, if they don’t have one.
