Just in case anyone isn't aware, besides worshipping celebrities and forcing people into secret slavery at their compounds, denouncing psychiatry and interventions for mental illness is the number-one priority of Scientology.

I think a lot of people now know this, but I only seem to see occasional sporadic articles about Alley going off about psychiatry or Tom Cruise going off about the fallacy of postpartum depression or antidepressants but not addressing it as a wholesale Scientology crusade. If European Christianity's crusade was convert-or-die, and American Christians' crusade is incest-and-guns-or-die, then Scientology's crusade is keeping insane people insane.

(That said, I'll admit that I think people are *way* overmedicated with psychotropics by doctors in the U.S., but some people really need them.)
