Mr Mooney will be missed, he knew he was a funny man.

Oh, I hate to hear this. He was so funny. He was very very arrogant but I think that came from being overlooked or pissing off the wrong people back in the day and never really getting his due because of it.

I like DJVlads interviews. Some of them but it seems like anything said there is taken as gospel truth and spread accordingly.

And don’t forget that black Twitter made no differentiation between homosexuality and pedophilia when this came out. The older African-American crowd is about as homophobic as they come. If this is true of course it’s despicable but instead of putting out a hit out don’t you think Mr. Pryor would’ve been better off going to the police with this?

At least then we’d be in Mia Farrow territory. Not a place I ever want to visit but there would be a police report.

That garbage about him “molesting” Richard Pryor’s son is bullshit. He was an adult at the time Paul Mooney was alleged to have done anything with him.

IMHO he was a much better comic than Pryor. You can find several of his comedy albums (remember when they were a thing?) on Youtube - well worth a listen.

Thank you OP - nobody seems to be mentioning this. I've always thought he was very queeny and yet everybody acted like they didn't see it.

He was also an exceptionally handsome man. But, yeah, somehow nobody ever talked about his gayness. It's bizarre.

And he was fearless in his comedy - he called shit out all the time. He was extremely brave in that area - but completely closeted (?).

So Richard Pryor -- in the link at R24 -- is basically admitting he was at least bisexual? Mooney definitely wasn't hiding it at all.

Did Richard ever admit to sleeping with Brando, or was it only Brando that did so?

Or did Brando even admit it?

Perhaps it was Quincy that spilled the beans on those two.

I never really thought that he was funny. I find myself studying his standup instead of laughing at it.
