Seriously, OP?

Dammit! You just reminded me of Fonda and Leigh, whom I consider favorites. I’m too promiscuous an actressexual.
I also just remembered Burstyn.

Well, if Miss Amy Adams was in there she has shot herself in the foot, or gouged out her face as the saying might someday go, by her latest debacle of the Woman in the Window.

Remember when this site was GAY and we didn't give a damn about WOMEN?......OP doesn't....

Also, I’m throwing in MTM for her unparalleled work in ”Ordinary People” [italic]and[/italic] her iconic work on The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
Diana Ross deserves a mention for her searing work in “Lady Sings the Blues.”
I ain’t giving you ten, op; obviously.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 18, 2021 5:06 AM |
Wait, they can be dead? I think it should be “greatest living actress” but OP already fucked it up, especially with that link that didn’t really go anywhere.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 18, 2021 5:07 AM |
Oh, how could I forget: SANDY DENNIS!
You’ve lit a fuse, op.

R9 Moore was playing herself in Ordinary People. A cold bitch in real life.

R4's list was hilarious!
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 18, 2021 5:15 AM |
R15 Then she gave an Oscar-worthy performance for seven years on The MTM Show.
Nonetheless, she should’ve won for “Ordinary People.”
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 18, 2021 5:17 AM |
Uh, you don't win OSCARS for tv you lunkhead. She won four Emmy's for the MTM show, but again, nothing for 'Ordinary People', because her peers knew she wasn't acting.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 18, 2021 5:24 AM |
R18 I said she should have won for “Ordinary People,” you muppet.

Charlize Theron - Monster
Angelina Jolie - Gia (I think this was really her tour de force)

Hillary Swank (Boys Don't Cry)
Jodie Foster (The Accused & The Silence of the Lambs)

by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 18, 2021 5:57 AM |
I'm not into the whole M & G thing, but Glenn really was robbed. It took me a while to think of ultra memorable Oscar worthy performances without looking at the list of winners, but right off the top of my head, I thought Fatal Attraction and Dangerous Liaisons, which were far superior than many best actress winners over the last 30 years.
Actresses who did not deserve Oscars over the last 30 years: Gwyneth Paltrow, Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts and maybe Jennifer Lawrence (I forgive her win in place of her Oscar worthy performance in Winter's Bone)

R49, while I loved her in Elle, Isabelle Huppert's signature performance was hands down The Piano Teacher. Have you seen it?
I fell in love with her as a late teen when in one calendar year I saw 4 movies of hers in the theaters: Merci Pour Le Chocolate, The Piano Teacher, 8 Women and Les Destinees.
