I think it is. Robert Altman topped Nashville with this bizarre, dreamlike masterpiece. Shelley Duvall and Sissy Spacek are unforgettable. How do DLers feel about it?
I can't believe Spacek didn't get a Supporting Actress nomination. It was a very weak year for that category. Leslie Browne in The Turning Point.
I saw it in a film class in college. I have pages of notes on it. the teacher's lecture was so fascinating I wrote down practically everything she said.

The ending doesn’t quite work for me though, admittedly.
