To contrast the the meanest celebs ever thread, who are the celebs that you've heard are the nicest. I've heard a lot of good things about Tom Cruise, despite his craziness, for example I knew someone that worked at a hotel he booked out in Scotland and he made sure to find out peoples first names and was very kind to the staff who were working there when he didn't have to be.
The Nicest Celebrities

Isabella Rossellini. I’ve also heard uniformly nice things about Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick over the years.

Jason Bateman

Tom Hiddleston has a nice reputation. When he was filming his Hank Williams biopic in Louisiana the locals had good things to say about him. He seems to be polite to people whether they’re famous or not; that speaks well of him.

She’s very kind. I had a great conversation with her years ago.

Jennifer Aniston. I worked on one of her house remodels and she was always pleasant and a pleasure to work with.

Henry Winkler always seems to make this list.

Can confirm Henry Winkler is a dream human to chat with. Just down to earth and funny. I’ve worked with a ton of celebrities and I will tell you this, the bigger the star the nicer they are but it’s their PR scum that make it impossible to deal with them. Howard Stern doesn’t have one with him, he’s so polite and shy and always nice when fans approached him. Same as LL Cool Jay. Always takes time for fans.

Ann-Margret is extremely kind and polite. I worked at a hotel that she and Roger were staying at for a couple of weeks. We had several pleasant conversations and she invited me backstage for her show. I went to the show with my cousin and my cousin still talks about how nice she was, treating us like we were family. I still get Christmas greetings from A-M though this was almost 20 years ago.

Tom Cruise makes it a point to find out the first names of underling staff because it's an employment of good manipulation technique. He knows that he will get better or special service if a famous celebrity shows you the least amount of attention. Also, it works in his favor if he is trying to convince you of his point. if you watch the interview with him and Matt Lauer, he is constantly saying Matt's name throughout it. Didn't really work in that case, but a good example of him employing that technique to try to sway somebody to his opinion/belief.

I know someone who worked with Colin Farrell. Absolutely gorgeous human being. Kind, considerate and sat with the crew.

Kathy Bates was always kind, understanding and professional when my team worked with her or in projects involving her. I don't expect people to be on their best behavior at all times but being professional and courteous in the workplace is a minimum requirement. We loved working with Miss Bates.
Absolute nightmares to deal with: Edward Norton, Ashton Kutcher, Shirley Maclaine and Aretha Franklin. And among sportspeople, Ian Thorpe, John McEnroe, Serena Williams and Patrick Chan. Cunts, every single one of them.

Michael B Jordan. Down to earth and a pleasure to talk to.

My brother's stepson & the stepson's wife were extras on "Doctor Quinn, Medicine Woman", they said Jane Seymour had lovely manners, she made a point of speaking to everyone & learning their names.

Hugo Weaving (from personal experience)
Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Ralph Fiennes have all gotten thumbs up from people I know who have had dealings with them.

Glad to hear that R18. I have had a crush on Hugo Weaving for years.

A family friend had dealings with David and Victoria Beckham a while back. Both incredibly generous with money and time, Victoria incredibly different to her glum persona when there's no cameras around.
