Oil and gas is still flowing through it despite Whitmer's order to shut it down.

OP, R1, Dear Trolls, can you explain why this pipeline should be shut down?

Read the article, R2. Are you comfortable with a nearly 70 year old pipeline running under the Straights of Mackinac?
Here's another for your interest. The thing is an environmental disaster waiting to happen.

Enbridge is now in defiance of the shutdown order.

Isn't there a 10 year notice required before it can be shutoff?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 13, 2021 5:56 PM |
I don't think so, R6. Whitmer gave notice in November and May 12th, 2021 was the deadline. The company is defying the shutdown order, and Whitmer says that the state will seize the company's profits.

Well other than a treaty with Canada
“Treaties made by the federal government are supreme over any state concerns about such treaties having abrogated any states' rights arising under the Tenth Amendment.”

Bitch @ R3, That's a lot of words, and this is the Internet. Memes only!
Where is this place? It sounds distant, cold, gray, windy and boring. Do any of us really need that?
We have Dawn detergent now. We can wash the ducks.
