R14 I agree -- don't think he's wrong by criticizing that field, but it's the how and why that's the problem. It's also extreme (a trend far too common these days) where the medical industries have had their big fuck ups, but people like him conclude anything related to pharmaceuticals must be wrong.

I would hope that most people understand that even though there's been a problem with overprescribing/ medical interventions, it doesn't mean the medicine being overprescribed, the treatments, etc, are completely useless -- they just aren't always appropriate. Unfortunately, a lot of people end up taking that leap.
