I read somewhere that Anya Taylor Joy *specifically* said she considers herself a white Latina because her father is, and she was raised in Argentina, but she is not a person of color.

Also they categorize Sofia Vergara, who is a natural blonde, as POC.

R2, few Argentinian people would qualify as people of color in any sensible world since most are entirely or almost entirely descended from European immigrants. Anya is being very sensible, so good for her.

Well. I had a friend who was from Guyana/Costa Rica. She looked African, but considered herself South American. She spoke with a slightly British accent and came from a very well-educated and prosperous family. She was offended to find that she was considered “black” here in the US. She was horrified to be lumped in with people like the characters on “What’s Happening” and “Sanford and Son”.

Don't use the expression 'POC'.

It will be considered offensive in ten years time.
