I think his take could be very interesting. He could pull off the lascivious naughty boy aspect. But will he be able to bring Alan Cummings' unsettling edginess to it?

I hate the stage version of "Cabaret". It makes the most obvious stupid points, the Emcee character is creepy and the rest is such twee (by now) cheap theatrics. Can we give this show a fucking rest already?
Of course the Fosse film version is sublime.
