Yes, R222. I don't think we'll ever be totally off of fossil fuels, but that doesn't mean we can't reduce our dependence on them and reduce emissions. There'll never be a perfect fix, but doing something is better than nothing. Same thing with the batteries for EVs. It take fossil fuels to make them and their components need to be mined, but there'd still be an overall drop in the use of fossil fuels if everyone drove an EV.

Years ago maybe 2008 or 2009, I was listening to some entertainment show on SIrius and I remember some actress was on and she made the comment that she wanted to have an EV, but at the time the looks of the vehicles didn't appeal to her and she made the comment that EVs looked weird and dorky.
