I heard he was a dancer when he lived in LA
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 6, 2021 8:14 AM |
Is he still hung up on Joseph Gordon-Levitt?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 6, 2021 8:33 AM |
I think heroin happened to Michael Pitt.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 6, 2021 8:37 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 6, 2021 9:13 AM |
He can’t act, has no sex appeal... I agree he was pretty looking and I probably would have wanted to fuck him badly if I knew him.

Still around, he's been posting stuff on his Instagram recently.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 6, 2021 11:15 PM |
R11 So you mean he’s not dead? I don’t think that means he’s “around”.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 6, 2021 11:34 PM |
He turned Joseph Gordon-Levitt straight ! Thanks a lot bitch 😐
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 7, 2021 12:15 AM |
We got to see his peepee in The Dreamers (2002).
He just turned 40 about a month ago (April 10).
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 7, 2021 1:13 AM |
R14 And 40 is old? Wow DLers criterias are unreal.
He was cute in Dawson Creek, cute in The Dreamers and good in a French movie where he's an astronaut but his career never took off. I wonder how does he make a living with so few appearances on screen
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 7, 2021 1:22 AM |
R15 DLers are shitty to some people, but others get their asses kissed no matter what. They/we are a baffling bunch sometimes.
R12 he had two movies released last year, does that meet your qualification of around, Pedantic One?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 7, 2021 2:27 AM |
I don’t remember what his penis looks like. It was kind of thrilling that he showed it though.

Too similar to Leo
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 7, 2021 6:14 AM |
He had a lovely hairy cock and I appreciate that he showed it
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 7, 2021 6:53 AM |
I never saw the appeal, but I do enjoy Louis Garrel in "The Dreamers".

by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 10, 2021 6:03 AM |
He was neither hot nor handsome. In the movie BULLY, Nick Stahl and Brad Renfro outshined him by a lightyear.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 10, 2021 6:22 AM |
His drug use and unreliability was so out of control that he was killed off on HBO’s biggest prestige series between The Sopranos and Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire. The powers that be hated him (for good reason, apparently) and cut him out in the most gruesome way long before his lead character was supposed to exit (if at all). Pissing off Martin Scorsese and HBO at that level is a bad move and his career trajectory since that period reflects it.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 10, 2021 7:35 AM |
I loved Funny Games. Michael Pitt is beautiful.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 10, 2021 7:48 AM |

his ship has sailed
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 9, 2021 4:09 AM |
Oh my, those are some red eyelids at R26.
The rest of the face kind of looks like what I’d expect it to at age 40.
What happened between him and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (whose new series Mr. Corman is quite watchable, by the way)?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | October 9, 2021 4:18 AM |
He lives just outside of Orlando and runs a gator farm for tourists.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 9, 2021 4:59 AM |
Didn't he get involved with that French actress he starred opposite in a movie. He's been living in Paris for a number of years.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | October 9, 2021 5:25 AM |
He's been relegated to playing psychotic, mentally deranged characters..
He recently had a small role as a demented father of Clive Owen's in Lisey's Story on Apple tv.

In his youth, he could have played Dorian Gray. Like most pale-skinned twinks, he didn't age well. There's this old DL thread where people were debating how he got to Hollywood with little money.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | February 3, 2022 10:48 PM |
Michael is the pits 🤮🤮🤮
by Anonymous | reply 36 | February 3, 2022 11:01 PM |
He looked like a little kid to me. The older he got the more he just looked like he had the same stunted growth disease as Gary Coleman. His face was like a weird old little kid’s.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | February 3, 2022 11:13 PM |
The Dreamers needed more gay sex because Pitt and Louis Garrel's characters were clearly sexually attracted to each other and flirting. Wasn't it Garrel who told Bertolucci to nix the gay sex scenes that were originally in the novel? Garrel later played gay anyway. It's unsatisfying.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | February 3, 2022 11:32 PM |
[quote] In his youth, he could have played Dorian Gray.
That would have been a perfect role for him. BB is handsome but Pitt was much more stunning in his youth.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | February 4, 2022 12:13 AM |
I never saw the appeal, except MAYBE in "The Dreamers" and "Hedwig". He was also in a relationship with Asia Argento for a year.
I always considered Michael Pitt & Norman Reedus to be competition. I figured one of them would find great success, but not both. They've both had successes, but oddly, the pitifully unattractive Reedus came out on top.
The first time I saw Reedus, was in "Six Ways To Sunday", which I still enjoy.

He made a beautiful Kurt Cobain lookalike for Gus Van Sant's Last Days. Last Days also features GVS's boy toy Scott Green (who's fictional self was played by Keanu Reeves in My Own Private Idaho).
by Anonymous | reply 41 | February 15, 2022 8:48 PM |
Last Days is an interesting experiment, I guess, but one of the most boring and sluggish movies ever made… since it’s a kinda sorta rumination on Kurt Cobain’s actual last days, it fits, but boy is it a slog. Bonus gay baiting scene with DL Fave Lukas Haas.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | February 16, 2022 2:02 AM |
Most of Gus's movies is 90% focus on clouds, trees, soundscapes, color palette and pretty boy bodies. 5% dialogue. 5% actual plot.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | February 16, 2022 8:29 AM |
Lukas is Gus's type. He likes dark hair and olive skin "exotic" guys.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | February 16, 2022 8:43 AM |
R44 Lukas Haas? Ur fucking high. How is that olive skinned and exotic?
by Anonymous | reply 45 | February 16, 2022 9:07 AM |
[quote]Wasn't it Garrel who told Bertolucci to nix the gay sex scenes that were originally in the novel?
Yes because a barely known actor can tell Bernardo Bertolucci what to do.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | February 16, 2022 9:16 AM |
I don't think he's gone missing....he was in an Apple miniseries last year. And, has two movies completed and awaiting release.
He's worked fairly consistently for over 20 years....he's not a huge star but he's managed to work in big studio/network projects and quirky indies and managed to avoid doing too many crap things, which is pretty impressive.
Seems like a low key/low maintenance kind of actor. He doesn't make a million dollars a year but he doesn't have a million dollar a year lifestyle.
He's either very lucky or smart about maintaining the career he enjoys having. Or, maybe both.

by Anonymous | reply 48 | February 16, 2022 10:41 AM |
He's wonderful in The Dreamers. Much better than Jake G could have been. That movie is so hot.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | February 16, 2022 10:53 AM |
He has never been hot, just peculiarly okay-looking.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | February 16, 2022 10:59 AM |

He's from the same area as Anne Hathaway in New Jersey.

R23 Nick Stahl is an incredible acting talent, and a lovely man. Incomparable to the lesser M. Pitt.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | February 16, 2022 12:03 PM |
Nick Stahl isn’t any good or else he wouldn’t be in The Haunting of Nicole Brown Simpson like like something the cat dragged in. I swear some of y’all just have a fetish for molested fringe druggies. Give me a healthy ol boy any day.

by Anonymous | reply 56 | February 16, 2022 12:07 PM |
R55 sorry, you’re calling indie cult legend Nick Stahl a poor actor because of how he looks and because he used to frequent Skid Row years ago? Sounds legit....:/
Enjoy your polished pre-packaged movie-stars who have never lived a real life, I guess.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | February 16, 2022 12:13 PM |
That's a terrifying pic at r26
by Anonymous | reply 58 | February 16, 2022 1:11 PM |
Gus likes lanky brooding boys with olive skin, dark eyes and dark hair. Lukas fits that. Mala Noche was basically semi-autobiographical obsession with a Mexican twink. He straight up recruited the lead for Paranoid Park, a olive skinned long-haired skater boy from Myspace. Gus had a big crush on Keanu and still keeps Scott Green around in his films. He inserted a gay sex scene in Last Days between Lukas and Scott. Elephant had closeups of Alex Frost. It seems that's Gus's type.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | February 16, 2022 1:13 PM |
R46 Louis Garrel is the son of a famous French director Philippe Garrell. He wasn't barely known and had big connections. He was already working with Christophe Honoré.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | February 16, 2022 1:15 PM |
Lukas is cute as hell. Leo is lucky to have him.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | February 16, 2022 5:44 PM |
Gus Van Sant definitely influenced Nickolas Perry Speedway Junky was just a Teen Beat version of My Own Private Idaho. Even with the unrequited love from the blond haired twink martyr for the dark-haired str8 guy who is only hooking for some cash and boredom. Jonathan Taylor Thomas as the evil bisexual street whore was great.
I wish Perry made a full-length version of Must Be The Music. It was a short film that was packaged in a gay anthology and it starred the very cute young Milo Ventimiglia
by Anonymous | reply 63 | February 16, 2022 7:21 PM |
R63 I LOVE ‘Must Be The Music’, almost as much as ‘Speedway Junky’. Mary! me and call me crazy, but in some ways I think both are more solid and entertaining than many of GvS’s unwatchable pieces.
They work as stories, they make you care about and invest in the characters, they build the world well. They’re realistic and not really artistically that accomplished or Earth-shaking, but within limits and a conventional mode they do convey quite a lot about the gay/rave/Valley youth culture of the time. In his filmmaking there’s an unflinching warmest and honest core of steadfastness embedded in all the froth and LED and silly juvenile moments, a tuff kind of innocence. I think that is what attracts me.
Both of Perry’s works in this world would actually play excellently either as period reboots or as continued series. IMO there’s definitely scope to extend or retell the backstories/future lives of Johnny & Eric, Stephen, Scooby, JT, Pez-boy, or of Jason, Kevin, Dave, Michael etc. At times, I’ve considered writing spec single-episode/draft scripts myself and running them by Nickolas myself.

Cam Archer is another gay art film director with a similar style to GVS. The Wild Tigers I Have Known, Godly Boyish and Bobbycrush. A lot of focus on the beautiful lush scenery, soundscape, bird tweets and waterfalls, tons of symbolism, camera lingering beautiful albeit underage boys but very little plot or resolution. And the gay protagonists are always tortured and rejects.

Why did he leave Dawson’s Creek and Boardwalk Empire?
by Anonymous | reply 66 | March 18, 2022 3:48 AM |
Just to quibble a bit R46 Louise Garrel has been in more than a few of his father, director Philippe Garrel's films and his father isn't exactly unknown, so I'm going to say he wasn't entirely unknown to Bertolucci.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | March 18, 2022 4:08 AM |
What happened to him?
by Anonymous | reply 68 | March 18, 2022 3:03 PM |
From what I can work out from this thread is he refused to wear dark contact lenses and Gus Van Sant had Anne Hathaway kill him and haul Pitt's corpse back to New Jersey.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | March 18, 2022 3:40 PM |
The filming of Bully sounded very traumatic. The lead star was a junkie who even got arrested during the filming and the rest of cast were drugged out party animals. Larry Clark had a tiny budget and deadline and had to keep these on a leash to get his project done. Bijou Phillips was a homophobic bitch to poor Daniel Franzese but Brad Renfro, Nick Stahl and Michael Pitt came to his defense and chewed Bijou out. I do not know if Pitt is gay or not but he's definitely an ally especially his affinity for working with gay directors.

I don't know about DC but he was written out of BE because of his drug/alcohol habit. He had so much potential which he blew.
