But you would have to be a "frag bro" to know it. How much is really him and how much is acting is open to debate. He got a deal to put his own name on fragrances. It is working well. He hasn't looked well during COVID - he appears strung out and jittery in some of his videos.

I watch some of there fragrance reviewers. Not so much him. But I watched him a bit so I could understand this youtube "genre" because he is the current big cheese.

As a proudly lesbian fan of perfume (using, testing, and collecting), I find the straight ‘bro’ contingent of the community annoying and somewhat abhorrent. They really are a gross bunch, turning a fine benevolent hobby into some sort of creepy NLP circlejerk about how to con women into fucking them (through the power of Cologne?) Only women and gay men should be allowed the privilege of scent.

It's curious i watched some videos of straight youtubers (unlike literary youtubers were most of them are gay the perfume youtubers i found are mostly straight) and in both cases they were very gay friendly, both were in their 40's, straight, married, but not a single homophobic comment, in fact both of them always said that sometimes the label male/female perfume is nothing more than an strategy to sell, and if you like the perfume you should wear it no matter if it's labeled as a female perfume.

Unlike others, i find Jeremy very prefabricated, like if he wanted to project an image and he is acting all the time.

I spent 10 years professional with North Africans and Middle Easterners and I like the masculine fragrance culture because its not "frag bro". European guys along the Mediterranean have a good flair with fragrances but go north from the sea and you get more into the presence of Frag Bros and of course North American Frag Bros are even worse.

I would have never guessed you could make big money and become a celebrity doing something so frivolous. In fact, I thought the "fragrance industry" was on its last legs due to society's increasing intolerance for other people's stank in common areas. I know it's different in Europe but where I live, scented anything is considered a form of pollution and not tolerated. People will swear at you if they can smell you.

My favorite fragrance influencer on youtube is a gentle fiftysomething gay guy named Sebastian Jara, who does his "Smelling Great" videos out of San Francisco. He's not a bro at all, and he knows much more about fragrances than Jeremy Fragrance does.

Sebastian has two female friends, Daria and Dalya, who know as much as he does (Dalya, who is Romanian, may even know more), and they're often on his videos with him and they're very charming. Dalya is hilarious.
