I find these things fascinating. I think I saw some VICE episode a few years ago that depicted a duo of gonzo journos coming upon some fake war zone which was allegedly routinely used to depict either a Serbian conflict or a perhaps it was a depiction of war torn Iraq or parts of Afghanistan?
If I recall correctly, they were officially escorted off the property by some very nice CIA dudes dressed in local gear and dress, who spoke perfect English.
Lol. Who knows. But these are some cool photos.
