I'm very sad to read this, he sounds like a good young man. Thank you for posting. May his memory be a blessing.

by Anonymousreply 105/04/2021

Any pictures of the top?

by Anonymousreply 205/04/2021

I was told only the old and obese die of Covid.

by Anonymousreply 305/04/2021

This is why you shouldn't live in a shithole country

by Anonymousreply 405/04/2021

yikes

by Anonymousreply 505/04/2021

Aww he’s cute.

by Anonymousreply 605/04/2021

wow, that's awful. RIP.

by Anonymousreply 705/04/2021

35? Oh.

by Anonymousreply 805/04/2021

R4 = Log Cabin whore.

by Anonymousreply 905/04/2021

More and more younger healthy people are dying from COVID.

by Anonymousreply 1005/04/2021

Sad. He seemed like a good guy

by Anonymousreply 1105/04/2021

sad :(

by Anonymousreply 1205/06/2021

The OP's article is behind a registration/pay wall.

I wonder what this person actually did to be described as 'an activist'?

by Anonymousreply 1305/06/2021

R13

He probably held up a sign at a rally once. It doesn’t take much actual activism to label yourself an activist nowadays. Didn’t he move to India?

by Anonymousreply 1405/06/2021

So, he was "Just Jack"?

by Anonymousreply 1505/06/2021

That is the most attractive photo ever taken of this poor guy, and it was taken at least 10 years ago.

by Anonymousreply 1605/06/2021

The whole "gay" lede is off-putting. I wonder why they focused on that. He seems to have lived a hellish childhood:
James’s mother died in a car accident in 1992, and his father committed suicide in 1995.

by Anonymousreply 1705/06/2021

This is sad but this is a dangerous strain

by Anonymousreply 1805/06/2021

Can you imagine this happening to you when you were 9 years old?
James Robert Williams was born on June 30, 1985, in Florence, in northwest Alabama, and grew up in nearby St. Florian. His mother, Kay (Carter) Williams, was a schoolteacher. His father, Paul Kenneth Williams, a former Marine who served in the Vietnam War, was an I.R.S. agent.
James’s mother died in a car accident in 1992, and his father committed suicide in 1995. Jim, 9, and John, 11, went to live with their father’s sister, Sharon Alexander, a volunteer for nonprofits, and her husband, Bill Alexander, a financial executive, in East Amherst, N.Y., near Buffalo.

by Anonymousreply 1905/06/2021

He really had it rough: "James’s mother died in a car accident in 1992, and his father committed suicide in 1995."

by Anonymousreply 2005/06/2021

What a shame. All he had to do was fly home to the US and get a vaccine. Our government and military bust their asses to give us some privileges , he should have taken advantage of the vaccine opportunities in the US.

by Anonymousreply 2105/06/2021

r19 r20 Type faster, bitches.

by Anonymousreply 2205/06/2021

This new variant is terrifying. One of my old co-workers had 5 of her cousins die and they were 25 to 36 years old. They were only sick a week.

by Anonymousreply 2305/06/2021

His poor brother

by Anonymousreply 2405/06/2021

Man. This is such a sad story. Gay kid growing up in Alabama, both parents die when he is a child. He takes a chance on life to move to India with a guy he meets and then this happens.

by Anonymousreply 2505/06/2021

He should have brought the boyfriend to America. Problem solved, everyone survives.

by Anonymousreply 2605/06/2021
He takes a chance on life to move to India

Why?

India attracts madness— ie big sister Prudence Farrow.

by Anonymousreply 2705/06/2021

I wonder if this is the boyfriend?

It's odd to me they are using a picture from 2011 though, that is 10 years ago.

by Anonymousreply 2905/06/2021

The trans brigade is here to celebrate the deceased gay guy.

by Anonymousreply 3005/06/2021

Were there any... co-morbidities (and please be discreet)?

by Anonymousreply 3105/06/2021

R29 The more recent picture are less appealing.

by Anonymousreply 3205/06/2021

R21 "All he had to do was fly home to the US and get a vaccine." That would have meant abandoning his partner. And current entry restrictions would almost certainly have made return to India difficult if not impossible. Plus, right or wrong most people that age don't feel they're at mortal risk from Covid.

by Anonymousreply 3305/06/2021
One of my old co-workers had 5 of her cousins die and they were 25 to 36 years old.

That's a lotta stuff to have. Bet there's a few decent items among all the crap.

by Anonymousreply 3405/06/2021

Can't get past the paywall. So what did this guy achieve that merits a nyt obit?

by Anonymousreply 3505/07/2021

Here's a pic from 2018.

by Anonymousreply 3605/07/2021

Wait, someone [italic]willingly[/italic] moved to India?

by Anonymousreply 3705/07/2021

Thanks r38. So whoever selected the pic really wanted to hide that he gained weight so went with this very old picture.

by Anonymousreply 3805/07/2021
He should have brought the boyfriend to America. Problem solved, everyone survives.

According to the article, he was trying, now that his bf was a fiance

by Anonymousreply 3905/07/2021

That's quite the tragedy.

by Anonymousreply 4005/07/2021

Double whammy for them. Last here when 500k died in the US and this year when 500k in India - and counting.

by Anonymousreply 4105/07/2021

Who moves to India? For a bottom?

by Anonymousreply 4205/07/2021

Looks like a sweet guy who had a hard life. RIP.

by Anonymousreply 43Yesterday at 12:22 PM

R4 Good thing he got out of American then.

by Anonymousreply 44Yesterday at 12:24 PM

I wonder if his body was shipped back to relatives in the US or burned outside in a fire pit like all the other Covid bodies in India.

by Anonymousreply 45Yesterday at 12:29 PM

What do you hope for R45? Burned?
