Turnips Are Famine Food

Gurl turnips in a pea or lentil soup are divine.

And roasted carrots, potatoes and turnips are a FABULOUS winter side.

I'm partial to mashed turnip myself.

Turnips, raw or cooked, are what eating is all about.

Turnips with other root vegetables roasted together are delicious. Boiled - not so much.

I do duck fat roasted turnips w/other root vegs

Mash them and add some mashed potatoes to cut the sharpness a little, then put a little butter on them, mash the butter through and top with turkey gravy.
