Kevin McCarthy is a giant piece of shit. His sole focus is to become Speaker of the House should the Dems lose the House in 2022. Nothing else matters to him, and that's why he wants Liz Cheney out. Jesus, I hope the Dems hold onto the House, but the party in power often lose during the midterm elections.
However, there aren't many coincidences in politics. I don't believe for one minute that this hot mic was a mistake. I'm sure McCarthy knew the mic was hot; he just doesn't care. It was a way to get his snarky bullshit comment out about Liz Cheney without making a more blatant public announcement. I'm no fan of Cheney, but her stance about Trump being the root cause of the Jan 6 insurrection and her subsequent vote to impeach Trump was the right thing to do. Damn, the Repigs have earner their name, pigs.
