according to some online post, his kids are not doing so well, one son is currently serving a 10-year sentence. I have to say I am a bit surprised, he was only 42, and based on the timeline of his porn career and his kids age, it must be crazy for him at the time to be gay for pay and dad at home, and the claim that his own sister was on set watching him performing porn just made his life even more bizarre.

I'm reviving an old thread to remind folks that gay-for-pay guys sometimes want to bring along someone for support in case they are asked to do something beyond what they can handle.
Yes, they can say no, but then unscrupulous porn impresarios might threaten their paycheck. Having an "agent" (or whatever) on hand might smooth out the bad scenes before they occur.
I should add that, years ago, I knew gay guys who occasionally tried porn, and they all said that when a straight (or thereabouts) guy was on set, there could be terrific tension, and it makes sense for the sister--who apparently was close to Dean--to hang around to discourage trouble before it started.
