Many Americans Are Still Not Getting Covid Vaccine

Cousin: Gates, tracking chip, changes your DNA. She is the most stupid, selfish human on the planet. But I guess it’s her choice. A dumb choice but hers.

Returning to a cubicle farm in May. No one wants to get vaccinated. Horrifying.

When will the Indian variant hit?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 2, 2021 1:38 PM |
Vaccinated. I’m enjoying the freedom shopping and short travel excursions without the worry. Wearing a mask less and less; not at all outside. Why wouldn’t Americans strive for that freedom and diminished anxiety?

[R4] they don’t take the virus seriously. Don’t wear masks , they don’t social distance. So no need to take the vaccine.

A new claim, and I almost can't believe this is real, is that being around vaccinated people will make you sick.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 2, 2021 1:54 PM |
This is why the rollout procedures were a disaster. They shouldn't have focused so much on old geezers who barely or never leave the house. They should have been focused on 45-65 year olds who work first, then young people with pre-existing conditions and [italic] then [/italic] seniors. The longer you gave those with the most exposure to COVID time to consume and internalize anti-vax propaganda, the harder it was going to be to get them vaccinated further down the line. This is going to cost us in the form of mutations that are immune to the vaccines and starting back at square one.

[quote] Poor them.
And, at some point — potentially — poor the rest of us. If all these unvaccinated people continue to contract COVID, it greatly increases the possibility for variants, against which the vaccines may be ineffective. Then we are back into another wave of the pandemic without the benefit of a vaccine that works. Then we would have to tweak the vaccines and get everyone revaccinated — which these idiots won’t get either. Rinse and repeat.

Exactly r8. That’s why I call my cousin selfish. No regard for those around her or the possible future of the virus.

You know what's really going to PISS ME OFF is when the virus mutates due to the opportunity their stupid presents that the current vaccine no longer works.
Then, these asswipes are going to say "see, I told you so..." and become self-satisfied for being "right" all along.

I am vaccinated. I would like to see a scientist explain how unvaccinated people in rich countries lead to dangerous variants. For the moment I'm going to assume variants are random, but catch hold in countries with very low vaccination rates.
They also have not explained exactly what he vaccine does. It does not prevent infection if I understand correctly.
For example I was vaccinated for Hep B in USA when that vaccine was offered to gay men. 80s?
I had extensive blood work in Swiss hospital around 2000 and the doctor said I see you had Hep B and I said, no I didn't I was vaccinated. Then he looked again at the blood work and said, oh yes you have the markers for the vaccine antibodies but also for the natural virus antibodies. This means you contracted the virus but the vaccine worked so you didn't feel sick.
So actually we are all going to be getting corona over and over. The poor countries will never manage to vaccinate corona out of existence so the 30% of unvaccinated American idiots will just be another drop in the bucket.

Vaccines never prevent infection. How could they? But they do prevent one getting sick from the infection.
Unvaccinated people allow the infection to grow and mutate. The wealth or poverty of their country is immaterial. However, the more unvaccinated people there are in a population, the more likely that there will be more mutations and the more mutations the more likely a powerful strain will result.
Like the flu, it does look like new strains will develop and we may need a periodic re-vaccination. But like the flu, this may become manageable.

Sometimes I think we're only at the beginning of this holocaust- not nearing the end.

Me too R13.

Prophylaxis prevents infection. What if finally that is what is best against Covid?
