Back stage will be filled with nurses, doctors, oxygen.

I want to go - their early 80's stuff was great (e.g. Abacab). Not a huge fan of their late 80's stuff though.

Will they sing “Illegal Alien”?

by Anonymousreply 3May 2, 2021 1:27 AM

Will they be able to do a entire show?

But... Phil Collins lost the ability to drum after surgery damaged the nerves in his arm. His son has been doing the drumming in his 'concerts' lately, which consist of him singing in a chair on stage(!) and trying to hit the high notes.

That skanky ex wife of his is probably getting half his fortune.

Phil Collins morphed off into his own very successful solo career - hope he sings some of his great songs!

Not really interested in seeing this, but I do have a fondness for early 80s Genesis/PC. For a few years they combined the prog stuff with updated new wave and R&B elements (the EWF horns) in a fairly unique and appealing way. But by the mid-80s Collins was getting way too formulaic.

Phil can barely move, can’t play drums anymore, and literally had to use a walking cane 🦯 when he was doing concerts a few years ago. Is he going to be rolled out in a wheelchair 🦼 for this tour?

by Anonymousreply 8May 2, 2021 4:59 AM

Cuz it’s no fun being an illegal alien… 🤡

by Anonymousreply 9May 2, 2021 7:18 AM

R7 - agreed. I did like some of PC mid-80's stuff (Sussudio, Take Me Home) but other stuff is just pop crap (Land of Confusion) and don't get me started on Mike and the Mechanics tear jerker hit.

If they played the more prog rock stuff, this would be a no brainer. But I don't think I could listen to a concert filled with Separate Lives, Invisible Touch, I Can't Dance, In too Deep, etc.

They were like 2 completely different bands.

The guy on the right isn't so sure about the project. But money is tight- and so is his new 22-yr. old girlfriend, so...

It’s the cast of new Top Gun Maverick.

I hope this gives Liza some encouragement to get out there again and LIGHT UP THE PALACE!
