Televisions mounted at the proper height
When they were heavy enough to require their own cabinet, the screen was perhaps eighteen inches off the ground. Bigger screens allowed cabinets to bring them up to four feet off the ground - a perfect height.
Now that the screen is huge and it weighs only 30 pounds, idiots hang them over fireplaces or tilted down from the ceiling. If I have my face pressed to a pillow, I want a clear view with my good eye without craning my head.
