Lecy Goranson's acting has been a revelation. I don't remember thinking much of her in the original Roseanne, but that scene with Dan regarding Mark's death. Wow. She can really hold her own with Goodman and Metcalf.

Does anyone watch this?

It's ABC's highest rated comedy, so apparently so, R6.

Agree. Her character carries a lot of the show. I hate what they've done with Jackie. They need to fix that. Dan's step-brother needs to be written in as does Mollie.

In one episode, Dan even joked about people never get fired from government jobs, if that's the case, how did he end up losing that job?

I still don’t get the Molly thing. Who is the mother? Her father was a widow. Where’s her sister. The fact that they remembered her character but not these other important details is insane. Jackie should also have a son. That would have opened the door to a great storyline for her character.

I've been watching the original series on TVLand. I never paid much attention to the series years ago, I watched it but not weekly.

I noticed John Goodman had amazing hair, thick and wavy. He seems to still have a good head of hair.

Sarah and Johnny also had amazing hair.

The actress who portray's Darlene's daughter was also on SHAMELESS.

DJ looks freakishly tall compared to Dan in OP's photo.

I love that the show is a success despite the deplorables downvoting it on IMDB, etc. I hope it goes on many more seasons.

I like this show, but I didn't care for this last episode.

After Lecy Goranson had an amazing, Emmy-worthy two-episode character arc, the writers decide to make her into some scolding AA fool. Lame.

The writers really hate these characters. The Walking Dead world is less downtrodden.

Watch for Katey Sagal to get a larger role on The Conners now. Whoever wanted to see more of her will probably get their wish.

Why was Ben being such a dick about Darlene's already-paid-for trip to Hawaii? Screw him -- she should've gone.

Finally have some free time on a Saturday for Roseanne reruns on TV Land. 🤠

I just watched the last two episodes of the season yesterday. It'll be interesting to see what they'll do with DJ and his family next season. Is the actress who plays the wife going to be a regular now? I think her CBS sitcom got canceled, so it's highly possible I would think.

I love this show and it would work with just Jackie, Becky, Dan and Louise. Darlene has become unrecognizable with no comedic value. That character works best with a nemesis. Her kids need to go live with David and Ben needs to be written off.

Season 4 returns on September 22nd with a live show.

The premiere tonight was pretty bad. Those bits with Mark calling extended family members (who I believe were actually viewers of the show) were just wretched. I hope they never, ever do that again. And I'm really tired of the Darlene/Ben storyline; either let them make up and get back together or break them up and let them move on but enough already. And where the heck was Becky?

Lecy is no slouch. She was up for the lead in Boys Don’t Cry and was very impressive in a supporting role. In the original run she had a memorable scene where she blew up at Dan for being a failure. It’s nice to see her getting some recognition.

Did anyone watch this week? It was hard to find the show because the televised promos didn't give the show date or time. It was weird. They announced the show was coming back this week, and that it was going to be live, but they didn't say exactly when. I guess they figured everyone was going to stream the show instead of watch on TV.

The show was live, and I noticed only one tiny hiccup. They had this weird bit, where Mark was calling distant family members to poll them about being a Conner. He would video call someone on his smart phone, their video feed would take up the whole TV screen, and Mark asked some nonsense question. The person would give some boring answer and the studio audience would laugh. It had to be some kind of gimmick. Maybe these people won some contest? The bit went nowhere and just wasted time that could have been used on the story. (Or DJ could have been given more than two lines.)

R74 Becky was at a sober retreat because Lecy Goranson was at gala in Chicago for first responders.

I was surprised to see guest star Jason Alexander on last night's episode. In the 90s, he and Seinfeld costar JLD got into a nasty spat with Roseanne Barr and Tom Arnold over a parking space at the television recording studio.

Why would it be a problem if Jason and Jerry Seinfeld had an argument with Roseanne and her then husband Tom Arnold many years ago? Roseanne has NOTHING to do with this re-boot of the series.

Both the season premiere last week and last night's episode were really weak. Hopefully, the writers will get back up to speed very soon.

And could we please let Darlene get over Ben already? Every scene they have together is her trying to get back in his good graces and him shutting her down. I say either let them get back together or break them up for good but enough already. His character really isn't interesting enough to warrant all of this drama.

Sara is working hard for an Emmy nomination that she will never get nor does she deserve. Darlene’s reaction to the Bible was a tad over the top.

Yeah, for far superior material. Giving herself dramatic scenes in the reboot is a wasted effort. She needs to pull a Roseanne and get new writers.

This week's episode was dull. Becky was scatterbrained, having an extremely contrived affair with a friend, for reasons that were hard to understand. Dan's girlfriend went wedding dress shopping and lied so that Darlene couldn't go with her, for reasons that were hard to understand. Darlene moped around and was weepy about religion.

Sounds awful.

Ben deserves better than Darlene.

Mark made out with a teenage boy (Logan)....Oh my...

This past week's episode was really good -- the best of the season so far.

Logan is a little whore. He didn't even hesitate at going up to the bedroom with Mark. I am surprised 14 year old boys making out didn't get more publicity. I have a feeling Logan is here to stay, like David did for Darlene. I like Ben but don't really know where he fits in anymore.
