43 years old and he’s walking around looking like this?
Or works out intensely. He's hot.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | April 17, 2021 11:37 PM |
Hawtness!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | April 17, 2021 11:38 PM |
Yes.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | April 17, 2021 11:38 PM |
You can tell by his lats. Yes he is.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | April 17, 2021 11:38 PM |
Geez. Good for his wife.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | April 17, 2021 11:40 PM |
He looks much better with the mask on.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | April 17, 2021 11:42 PM |
Doesn't look like steroids at all, just devoted work out routines.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | April 17, 2021 11:43 PM |
R4 how can you tell by that photo? I can’t see his lats.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 17, 2021 11:46 PM |
OP must be typing from 1984, a time when dudes in their 40s weren’t lifting weights every day and downing protein shakes to be ripped and swole on social media
by Anonymous | reply 9 | April 17, 2021 11:52 PM |
Nobody looks like that - at that age from “aggressively” hitting the gym, diets, and supplements.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 17, 2021 11:59 PM |
I'd need to see him nude and bent over before I could say, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | April 18, 2021 12:00 AM |
His large trapezius is sign he uses.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | April 18, 2021 12:02 AM |
OP, why do you feel the need to ask such a stupid question?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | April 18, 2021 12:05 AM |
And he’s looked like shit all his life, R10. He hits his 40’s and all of a sudden he transforms into Superman?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 18, 2021 12:06 AM |
You know he's joined one of those superhero franchises, right?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 18, 2021 12:07 AM |
Doesn't look like steroids at all, actually. Money can buy personal trainers and all the free time in the world.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | April 18, 2021 12:10 AM |

His lateral deltoid? Huh.

Yes, and they all used steroids to get their physiques, R15.

"I'm so jealous, must be steroids. I went to the gym last year and I don't have muscles like that. Not fair."
by Anonymous | reply 24 | April 18, 2021 12:18 AM |
It's his job to look like that and he's getting paid millions for it.
Which means he has
A trainer
A chef
A nutritionist
Unlimited time to work out
It never ceases to amaze me that you all never figure out why actors manage look like that even when they're over 40
by Anonymous | reply 25 | April 18, 2021 12:19 AM |
R23 - the people calling out his steroid use are pointing out areas of his body that are most affected by high testosterone. The ones who deny his drug use, don’t know where your “lats” are.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | April 18, 2021 12:20 AM |
It's his traps that are so big in that photo that make me also think he's on the juice.
But he's clearly putting a lot of work into it at the gym and in terms of his diet--steroids alone are not going to get you results like that.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | April 18, 2021 12:20 AM |
R26 I know where lats are, dear. I also recognize hard-core workout bodies versus steroid use. I'm sorry you're fat and envious of this person.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | April 18, 2021 12:21 AM |
I thought filming for Eternals was over? But maybe he just likes being so sexy and wants to keep looking this way--he certainly never did before he started preparing for this film.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | April 18, 2021 12:22 AM |
It’s perfectly “acceptable” today to use drugs to gain muscle, it’s what they all do. It’s everywhere now. Is it out of the closet? No. Or maybe it is. Maybe more and more people are honest about it now.

He makes sure you don’t see him when he’s off the juice and deflates like a balloon.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | April 18, 2021 12:25 AM |
R17 lats are latissimus dorsi. Lateral deltoid’s are called delts.

It's usually a disastrous move for comedians and comic actors. They become very hard to cast because they no loner seem relatable.

by Anonymous | reply 51 | April 18, 2021 5:14 PM |
He and Rob McElhenney from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia did a Dax Shepherd podcast last year on their bodies. They’re all obsessed and totally committed to working out, nutrition, etc. and think about their bodies non-stop. It’s a very homo erotic episode.

Bit confused by people specifically calling out his traps - the top he's wearing is covering the majority of them, I wouldn't have necessarily said they were the tell-tale sign of roids.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | April 19, 2021 11:29 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 65 | April 19, 2021 6:26 PM |
On that Dax Shepard podcast they all but admit to do doing steroids.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | April 19, 2021 6:47 PM |
Say it ain’t so, R66. The person who first mentioned that earlier made it seem like they attributed their bodies to chicken and broccoli and Essentia water.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | April 19, 2021 7:31 PM |
The podcast was interesting, even to someone like me who hates weights and most forms of exercise (but keeps in shape anyway, thanks). Particularly the discussion of self-image and male body types.
Must confess that by the end, I found McElhenney far more interesting and multi-dimensional, and regrettably, the opposite with Nanjiani. I've enjoyed him before, but now he's just a boring guy droning on about how many sets, reps, glycogen this, ripped and shredded that.....
YAWN.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | April 19, 2021 7:48 PM |
At least Kumail is proof that a halfway decent person can build off a supporting role in a series and not just the addict pervs. WHET Gilfoyle tho? I always found him quite hot.

Yeah and how do you do that, R68?
by Anonymous | reply 70 | April 19, 2021 7:52 PM |
I walk, speedwalk, and occasionally run outdoors, R68. I'm also fastidious about what I eat, but I find discussions of diet and exercise really tedious most of the time. (It's a massive turnoff when I meet someone new and they want to share their gym routine.) Like I said, the rest of the convo about male bodies and self-image was interesting to me.
I like muscles fine but I haven't lifted a weight in years.

by Anonymous | reply 92 | August 30, 2021 5:09 PM |
There was a whole Vice article on this:
1. No, you can't tell from looking at someone's photos whether or not they're using steroids. Even experts can't tell.
2. Most of the "tells" you'd have to observe in person and not from a photo.
3. Some of the tells are observational: The amount of time the person took to get that way and the amount of time it takes for them to lose their muscles after they stop working out. Someone natural won't lose their musculature if they cut down their workout routine to 50 percent of what they were doing before as long as they had been doing it 6-8 weeks prior. If you were using, it evaporates.
Based upon all of this: Kumail Nanjiana would have been cycled off of the drugs at least once already and so far he has stayed the same size. So he probably isn't on steroids. Damn near his whole life is dedicated to looking like this now. For most people, they don't have the time, the money or the desire after 40.

by Anonymous | reply 95 | August 30, 2021 8:04 PM |
R95, Dax Shepard himself uses "heavy testosterone injections" and has admitted to it.
I feel like, if Kumail had said he was using steroids or something similar it would have made news or at the least Twitter would have never shut up about it.
by Anonymous | reply 96 | August 30, 2021 8:13 PM |
He could be running gear, but no one can say definitively, unless they're in his immediate orbit. Everything else is mere speculation. He looks good regardless.
by Anonymous | reply 97 | August 30, 2021 8:53 PM |

Hugh Jackman is 10 years older than he is. (Kumail is 43, Hue turns 53 soon.)
