She always had an odd vibe. She was also married to the head of Atlantic Pictures back in the day and the guy was supposedly a huge jerk.

Canโt stand her ever since I saw True Grit as a kid. At 8 years old I thought she was odd.

I thought she was great in True Grit. Glen Campbell was the weak link. Wasn't she married to some heart-throb?

Her parents were professional dancers. Her mother was a bombshell. PIc on the left. Not sure what happened to Kim.

I thought Matt Damon did an excellent job reprising her role in the remake!

I too have always found her off-putting. Probably the first time I saw her was in 'Star Trek' as Miri.
Then there's ๐๐จ๐ง'๐ญ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ค (1973), where she opens the bricked-up fireplace and the little fuckits get her. Great film, that.
I saw her a couple of days ago in an episode of 'Gunsmoke' I was randomly watching on MeTv.

R6 Thanks. I didn't know she had that much of a career. I thought True Grit was the beginning and end of it.

The original Don't be Afraid of the Dark is great. Scared the bejesus out of me as a kid. It was often shown with Trilogy of Terror.

Oh, there's others, R7. She was in another ABC Movie of the Week with William Shatner called ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ (1972). I didn't mention it because no decent versions of it survive, and I really haven't vetted it.
I don't know; there was just something about her. Frequently she was cast as a young girl or woman who annoyingly mooned after some older man, like Miri over Captain Kirk, or in that episode of Gunsmoke, where she helped a wounded accused man escape because she thought he was her only chance to land a husband; she wound up dead at the hands of Royal Dano. At one point some years back, I was rewatching 'Miri,' and called her a furry monster, 'cos I noticed she grew hair on her arms and on her upper lip. That was also my impression of her in 'True Grit.' ;)
