I've volunteered at a dog shelter for 10 years with mostly Pitt mixes, Rottis and Shepherds. The only time I've been bit in my life was by Chihuahua. Those bitches have some serious attitude. They cut you when you're not looking.

Chihuahuas are prone to epilepsy. My sister's chihuahua suffers at least one seizure a week. When she does have a seizure you have to give her CBD oil. She also has a messed up back and needs Gabapentin. She growls at absolutely nothing, but the rest of the time she sleeps. She’s the only chihuahua I’ve ever dealt with and I’m glad she’s not a terror like this beast.

I have a chihuahua, they can be a handful when you first get them. You have to establish yourself as the alpha in the pack so they respect you , socialize them with a ton of different people and dogs, and make them feel safe and secure.

Milo was a real handful when I first got him from the rescue, but over time he’s mellowed and is happy and sweet. As the trainer I hired said about chihuahuas-“they’re either really sweet and docile, or they’re assholes.”

My family had chihuahuas when I was a kid. They were yappy towards strangers but sweet to all of us in the family.

I need him! I love Chi's and have had several! Love their utter cuntiness!!

In my childhood home we had a demon dog that we inherited from my grandma. She fucked her dog up too so he was a spiteful mess and lived for YEARS. He would for sheer fun shit on the floor, jump in it then proceed to touch every cabinet and surface in the kitchen are he was gated in. No one wanted to be the first one home to clean it so everyone would slink around until someone else went in the house first. It was vile. He also would take a shit behind the wheel of our car in the driveway so we would have to back up over his poo to drive off.

Personally, I would have put him to sleep after a year of this, but my mom was a die hard masochist and he lived for 5 more years. Luckily I left for college. I still can't even look at white terriers and this was 30 years ago.

Prancer dances to the tune of his own drum. Kudos to the person who was 100 percent honest about this little bad boy. The real problems start when shelters or individuals rehoming an animal are dishonest about things like temperament, preferences, and health. There are people out there willing to raise " difficult" animals believe it or not.

Prancer’s temperament and living situation reminds me of myself at an earlier age. If I can change, so can Prancer.
